Ok I am not going to devolve, I love riding motorcycles on track and I am very fortunate that my professional life has overlapped with what I love. I have been posting on here consistently since I started riding on track and I think it’s clear that I put in the work and have been able to get a pretty decent understanding of what goes into it all this. That’s all

But isn't this the dilemma. You propelling people with lower and lower skill levels faster and faster. It's that mass times velocity squared thing. Are you not having more fun with your current track bike? The key thing it's lighter and since I think you stuff any KTM into any KTM if you end up needing more motor do a thousand or an 1100. The bike will still be lighter and since you'd already learned the chassis you'll actually go faster with more motor. And then you'll be even faster on a R with all the electronics. More AI doesn't make the average guy a better rider, it makes him think he's a better rider.
Yeah and therein lies my personal dilemma…I’m coming to really appreciate a lighter less digital bike. And it’s definately improving my riding by leaps and bounds being on one. It’s just a completely different kind of fun and different kind of challenge.

So as impressed with what it seems like Ducati might have accomplished with the new V4 I feel like I might be giving up more than I’m gaining as a rider by going back to a super high powered super technologically advanced bike again. Or at least by doing it too soon. A decent wait before the R version comes out is probably the best thing for me and my situation 😂😂😂

he R version is still more than a year ahead, but there is a push to accelerate it, at least for some mods for the SBK.

I hope there will be the english version soon.

Here is English version

One thing I don't understand, those Ducati people keep making loud statements like "we are bringing MotoGP to masses", but in reality Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha (MotoGP teams) have had DSSA in SBK/STK for ages !!!
It's not a new thing, it doesn't magically improves the bike, doesn't make you go 1second faster either.

I would like to remind you

I would like to remind that the first ROAD LEGAL MotoGP was the DESMOSEDICI.

Of course it is impossible to bring MOTOGPs to normal people.
I can tell you that even the DESMOSEDICI bought from the retired MotoGP racer bikes, have some sort of restriction and you need an engineer ( better more than one ) with you, every time you ride it.

But here we ( or there they ) are talking about some kind of feelings and technology systems brought to normal riders.
This can be easily said.

Faster or slower, it mostly depends on us.
I remember when I bought the '98 R1 of so many riders being slower with that BEAST because of lack of confidence and control, coming from Hondas or even previous Yamahas as well.

But everyone has his own opinion.
No problem. 🤙🏻

I don’t think they are saying that the swingarm alone is doing that… 🫣

Right right. Seeing it in the flesh probably gave you a ton of insight into how it rides and handles. If you were lucky, you may have even gotten to sit on it and make revving sounds and gotten a picture. That is after you got back from that lovely meal in Milan…

Haha so now you’re backpedaling? You already devolved by calling me out and calling me slow. When did I besmirch you?
This is why I got hot, very trollish of you... But I am good man, I should not have fed into it.

Yeah, he isn't saying that at all. The swingarm is simply the best compromise to reach their goal, whether we like it or not. The truth will be revealed after a year of sales/riding by mere mortals.

Whats going to happen to all those Pierobon rear stands that cost 800 each plus 92 for a bag ???

Won't be able to transfer rearsets or wheels over either.

The new OZ (sorry, I mean forged by Ducati) wheels look very nice though.

The more I see it, the more I like it. Not that I feel especially compelled to trade-in though. I'll be checking eBay for one of those tanks for when people start chucking their bikes into the weeds then parting them out.

Is tank compatible with old frame?

I doubt the frame would be the issue but the fairings likely would be. I'd have to see what the tank looks like off of the bike.

I wonder what the silver box is near the radiator cap.
