What Did You Do For Your Panigale Today?

Yeah if Marchesini did indeed go that route on the new wheels it's failure waiting to happen. They had it correct all these years and worked so hopefully they don't have rotor bolts sheering coming off the straight at the race tracks.

Mick,
I think we must be talking at crossed purposes. I just checked out the 1198 parts page and the 1198 is set up same as OEM 1199. I just could not see a speed sensor. But there is just 5 bolts/screws on each side that hold the disc rotor to the wheel hub. The new wheels I am putting on are exactly the same set up as OEM 1199. It is just that because the hub is not as wide on the magnesiums that there is a spacer between rotor and wheel. It still uses 5 screws each side to attach to the wheel. I do not see a difference. I think we must be speaking about different things. I am just talking about the front wheel. Send me a PM if there is something I am not getting.

cheers

Removing bearings ready for new ones.

So prior to watching some F1, out in the garage and removing the wheel bearings that came fitted with the M10RS Corse wheels from Marchesini.

You have to use a drift to get some movement in the first one you do, to get a gap to fit the bearing puller jaws. I worked evenly from side to side, at 4 different points. 12 o'clock 6 o'clock 3 then 9 etc. I sprayed some Inox lubricant prior to starting. I used a 13mm long T Handle Motion Pro socket tool as the drift. I used an Engineers Hammer rather than a rubber mallet. I think it provides a more energy without hitting as hard.

In the first pic you can see the black spacer that comes with the wheel to make sure the rotors line up with the OEM M50 Brembos in the correct location. I have since had some lighter ones made. If I had to do this more often I would buy a puller with 3 support legs.

Second pic shows the bearings out and what they weigh. 156.7 grams. Keen for the new hybrid ceramic ones to arrive to check the weight. Hoping for 40 to 50% weight reduction and heaps less friction. :)

Yes the the factory setup on 1198 and 1199 is the same but with the 10 Ray wheels the spacing is different. That's why there is spacers supplied with the wheels depending on bike. Also the old 320 rotors are 5mm difference in height so going back to my main issue is I hope you got the right set of wheels. I know few others that just got some 7/9 spoke wheels from the latest Marchesini batch that have OEM wheel spacing so no spacers needed on the 1199.

Mick,
Sent you some photos of the labels on the boxes. I purchased them in July 2017 and had to wait about 10 weeks because Gold is a special order. Definitely the correct wheels for my bike. They may have changed design since then.

Cheers

Hey Brad yep got all your pics so definitely looks like they changed the design so the spacer shape still the same they just removed the 5 countersunk bolts and supplied longer rotor bolts.

Replaced the rubber boots on the electronic fork leads. Pig of a job and my hands are sore. Like most things on this bike job looks so simple but she can be a cruel mistress. Happy that they look new and shiny now though.

- Reinstalled all fairings
- Bled all the brakes
- Installed Mick's rear reservoir delete!
- Installed NRC turn signals
- Installed CRG Arrow mirrors with Kyle Racing bar ends
- Installed Motobox Racefit Fender Eliminator
- Installed Motobox Slimline Integrated Tail Light (clear)

Few mods for the track bike...:)
- Tank extension
- Tightails subframe
- DucaBike race switches
- Jetprime E-Wire
- Domino Quick Action Throttle

hi, I am very interested in the Jetprime e-wire, and I noticed yours is a dedicated track bike. I used my bike for both track and street, so do you reckon there is enough space somewhere that I can squeeze the red box into for the installation?

Working on a test platform for a shroudless fan setup for OEM radiator setups and SBK radiator setups such as the Galletto and Febur.

Can I get more information from you on your product? I am up for anything that makes the bike run more efficient.

Hi Meng yes these will always be available so this allows for removing the entire stock fan shroud and fan setup for allowing more airflow, more cooling and still having a fan to keep the lower radiator cool.

With your piece, how or where do I relocate the exhaust valve motor to?

Exactly like Stealth said it's useless definitely get rid of it. You will need a servo motor delete they are super cheap or better yet run a tuning software such as Woolrich so you can just turn off all that unwanted stuff.

That will definitely be ideal, but the local enforcement here are big time ....., they are out to catch stuff like this, got caught before therefore I have no choice but to keep it clean

Nonetheless, do pm me on the costs as well as shipping charges to Singapore, it looks too tempting

Got these in today. I currently have DesmoVeloce rideheight adjuster. Not sure which one I will go with.
