Quick question what set of frame slider are y'all running on y'all 959

Aella from Bellisimoto. Those and the tank slider saved my ... at COTA in April. $400 in parts probably saved a few thousand in damage. Another big plus is that I was able to call Randy and order the damaged replacement parts individually vs having to buy another kit.

100% rider error.

It was at the Aprilia track day. I did my session on the RSV4R factory and wanted to hurry and get back on track with my own ride (the Ape left me feeling pretty meh). I went to get my bike out of my buddies trailer and you know the story there. Clip on snapped. After an hour and two missed sessions I finally found a Woodcraft replacement courtesy of the guys at Motomummy. I slapped it on real quick and had about 15 mins left in the session. Flustered, I was in a rush to get out. No warmers, cold tires, I low sided lap one, T1.

I was pretty jet lagged (I had just flown in from Greece eight hours prior) but really wanted to make the Aprilia day. 20/20 hindsight I should've just stayed home. First time I've laid it down in the four years of ownership.

Oh man. Sorry to hear. Damage is really not that bad.

One good thing (and interesting) is that you liked your Panigale more than APE. That's good! Good to hear.

It's honestly a bit of an unfair comparison. My 1299s is pretty heavily modified and I don't even remember what it was like stock (she got torn down the day I bought it). I won't derail the thread with a full review but a few notes:

Pros: Brakes were better than mine hands down. It's great at going fast without actually feeling like you are. Linear power. I never really felt a flat spot. It was definitely down on power compared to mine though. The TFT dash was pretty neat and seemed easy to navigate. The supplied Akra sounded great.

Cons: It is a TALL and heavy bike. It also had that sitting on top of the bike feeling vs in it. Low end was missing a bit of grunt but I know most of these bikes come geared really tall. The wind buffeting at 150+ was pretty serious but that might just be because I'm used to the oversized DP windscreen. Adjustable rearsets would probably be my first mod along with the windscreen.

If Ducati didn't exist, I'd probably buy the Ape. Meeting and riding with Max Biaggi was cooler than the actual bike.

Biaggi still has one of the best wheelie saves ive ever seen.

Random question since what i saw you post earlier, what were you doing in greece? Lovely place, especially the islands.

Awesome pic btw.

Also are those framesliders fairly easy to put on?

Visited Athens, Mykonos, Santorini. Proposed to the gf. Great trip overall.

Stupid easy install that even came with instructions (which seems rare these days). It’s about a 30 minute/two beer job.

That is awesome, love the place and great to hear you had a rad time!

Wicked, looks like those will be the ones to get.

I just installed T-rex frame sliders on my 1299S and I'm very happy with them. Easy to install and look very up to the task of protecting the bike in a low side. I'll post pics once I figure out the hosting thing or you can PM me your email...

Threw on an aem triple top yoke the other day. was looking into the CNC one as well but I didn't care for how "blocky" it looks.

Fefe got to her new home today. She said she needs a new V4R to stay with her.

Track day at Pitt Race. Was highly recommended by some folks and wanted to try it. Didn't leave disappointed. Talk about elevation changes. lol
