What Did You Do For Your Panigale Today?

Thanks,

That’s what I figured. But I took if for a ride today and it wasn’t that bad. I did not hear anything at idle. But on and off the throttle is where I could detect a little more noise. But nothing to make me change my mind.

I also didn’t realize that I’d get oil on the glass. About a minute into start up I saw this. Not a big deal as the oil goes away when the motor reached op temp.

All in all a good purchase and the 1299 looks a hell of a lot better. lol

Just be careful. It usually isn’t glass. It’s plastic for impact. There is not a plastic invented that is clear and can handle long term heat and oil. It may be ok because it’s not asked to do much. But it will lose impact strength. If it starts to yellow or cloud up. Replace it.

20 years in plastic chemistry. Not making it up.

That makes a lot sense and will do. The fact that I don’t have to pull the entire cover off helps.

You need to clear these oceans of plastic!

Jk

I didn’t notice a difference but I wasn’t consciously thinking about it. I’ll try and remember to when I ride again and report back.

Also all you folks who got those Ti rocker shaft bits I hope you checked them over well before you installed them. The machine work on the threads was dismally thin, and there was quite a bit of hairs and fragments from the cutting. I bought 5 sets and spent a good amount of time fixing them to ensure material wasn’t coming off of them. Here is a sample of what came off of them when I went over them with the brush.

Thanks. Noticed that as well. That's why they're still in the original bag. Going to have them deburred and DLC treated in black.
