Looks good Gecko. I did a combo Ti/magnesium rod Ti nuts and a 7075 aluminum rod end. LMK if you want me to put one of these rod ends in the mail to you. Very light

Finally got around to installing the Evotech SRL gas cap and sprocket carrier and also weighed them for those who find that information interesting :D

Evotech gas cap = 229gr
Ducati std gas cap = 338gr
Evotech Sprocket Carrier = 357gr
Ducati Sprocket Carrier = 359gr

So saved a little with the gas cap but no gain with the sprocket carrier, but the evotech looks sooooo much nicer than the standard carrier :p

Gecko - I am really looking forward to hearing if you notice any difference with the Factory Pro Shift Kit - been thinking about it myself, but been unsure if it is all placebo effect or if there is any benefit on the panis - so go get the bike on track :D

You may want to check those scales. The Ducati OEM cap weighs 254 grams. I have some calibration weights and my scales are spot on.

I'm using the double to get rid off the Front OEM single brake line that splits to both calipers from the ABS to be replace with 2 dedicated brake lines with quick disconnects at the calipers.

Very nice. Thanks for posting.

You are welcome had problems with the Ti Banjo bolts after being installed and bled next day had poodles of brake fluid on the floor lucky enough nothing got to the body or plastic. Problem was that they were machined wrong and never sealed while tight. They were leaking from the threads. I found another supplier in the UK. I can't use Teflon tape on brakes is against my religion.

those break lines quick disconnectors are so sexy! i'll come by your house so you can help me put them on. :D

Just get the Spiegler quick disconnects much better higher quality and no leaking. Only bad thing is they are really expensive.

QUOTE=youngR;282592]I was just joking. wouldnt ask for a help to those who are unwilling. lol

on the other note, you in BADOC?[/QUOTE]

I wasn't talking about the quick disconnects FYI. I was talking about The Ti. Banjo bolts with bleeders.

I already replied privately why do you need to know?

Was it the banjos you got from Podium the problem ? If so which supplier did you switch to ?

The Podium bleeder banjos are definitely prone to leak between the seal of the bleeder and the banjo. I had two of them that were bad ended up getting some from the UK as well do a search on eBay.

Banjo bolts with bleeder:
I switched all my bikes to Stahlbus banjos. In all these years, one nipple failed and could be repaired.

@Endodoc: Thanks. I am still trying to find a reasonable source for Schaublin Unibal joints. They seem to manufacture high-end bearings/housings used throughout racing and aerospace industry. Guaranteed all parts corrosion resistant and with zero play at all.

Thanks Gecko. I would like to find if there are any small Ti rod ends for the shift rod. I have the 7075 units and they are great for the brake. Not sure i would trust them on the shift rod. I have a bunch of Ti rod ends in larger sizes but cannot find them in the smaller size. Any Ideas? Sarma makes the ones I have

I doubt that there are any good Ti bearings on the market in such small sizes. The smallest ones I've found on the web start at 25mm (made for Airbus).

The joints I am looking for are available in multiple different housing materials, fitted to the load they have to survive.

Schaublin - Unibal - RBC Bearings - PDF Catalogue | Technical Documentation | Brochure

A friend of mine used them in a racing car and said that the quality and finish of these parts is outstanding.

So can you get the Schaublin bearings in a Ti housing?

Nope. I guess this doesn't make much sense, since the housing is part of the bearing and therefor smaller than other ones.

M6 housing outer diameters and weight:

  • Schaublin 18mm, 18g (9mm wide, 5,4kN, and they also have versions up to 15.5kN, same size, same weight, stronger steel!)
  • SKF 21mm, 21g (9mm wide, 4.25kN)
  • SKF 22mm, 17g (slim version 6mm, 3.6kN)
