My local dealer has a 2012 base demo no abs and 1500 miles that he's selling for $14.3k. but OTD it's $18k. AZ tax, freight, handling, etc. the 2013 base is $23k. These numbers are with no negotiating.

So, I'm wondering what good numbers would be. Also.......would you buy a demo with full 2 year warranty?

Those prices are STUPID! I got a 2012 base + A COMFORT SEAT, no ABS a month ago for $15,000 OTD.

23K??? RIDICULOUS!!!

This is full MSRP with full fees. No negotiation which is why I'm asking for what good prices are so I can make a counter offer.

If you have any dealer recommendations, let me know. I guess West Coast is preferred.

I would shoot really low on the 2012. Chances are they want to get rid of it. If it is a demo bike, I'm not sure why they would charge you anything other than tax. Get them to waive all the dealer prep/fee BS. Play hardball. It can't hurt.

He souldn't even mention prep and set up on a demo bike, that dealer is disgusting !!!!!!! I was offered 16300 OTD on a new '12 + taxes would been another $1200 maybe.

That dealer is a crook, and 23K on a '13 ?? I just bought a '13 ABS OTD $18K FLAT !!!!! sales tax around $1400.

Try other dealer, at thos prices you'll never be above or close to book value. A '12 is worth $16395 right now...so dont even spend that on a demo !!

good luck, ride on

Sales tax and fees vary wildly from state to state. Lets try and keep it to purchase price and not otd. OTD only means something in the same state.

Well when I say OTD I mean NO sales tax/registration !! The price of the bike you and dealer come to including frieght/setup (if you paying that)...I never pay frieght & setup so....

OTD means all monies paid....;)

I disagree...OTD on this forum IMO should, as I explained, mean cost of bike and whether or not that includes f&s....

That will illiminate the conflict between states where dealer collects states tax/registration and ones that dont.

Thanks for all your responses. Gives me something to work with.

I assume dealer will almost away aim high looking for the guy who was to have the Panigale and would sneeze at pay $22k for it. That said, it's going to be over 100 degrees here for the next 5 months. So, time's on my side.

I'm also wondering if the non-R Panigales will get some kind of update for 2014. I think the 999 had a two year run until the 2005 update and the 1098 became the 1198 in 2009. So, my guess is the 2014 may have something. Did I read the R model got a software update?

$23k for a base model? OMFG what a crook.

The dealer in Raleigh, NC that I plan on buying mine from is selling the 2013 S model for $23k. The base is $18.5k.

I'd find another dealer if I were you...

Just to clarify, this is MSRP will AZ taxes and registration plus freight. And set up...or whatever they call it....plus a $300 doc fee. :p
