+1. I kept my R1 completely standard. I guess some bikes align themselves more to modding than others.
 
THIS is an awesome thread AGAIN!! stopped at a pub with 2 buddies and was getting the looks from the customers, we go over to the bar and some 40 yr old nice .... asks if one of us could take her and friend for ride.... so my bros point at me, she says she likes red ducati then she asks if i can take her for ride,

my response: only if i can ride you first!
her: thats not going to happen,
me: what makes YOU DUCATI worthy of MY RIDE? me ride you then you may ride bike depending on how good you bang.

Both my buddies spit their beers out!!

Don't beat yourself up over this....we were the first to sign up for something we didn't even know what it was going to be and it ended up being f***ig awesome! All this took balls and foresight which the average wannabe won't ever be able to come up with.

Its like a beautiful woman - sure, she looks good naked, but add a few choice accessories and you have something special. :)

I have one more, company had outing at the beach this year, so i thought be grrat to take the bike, after a few minutes I had the Director of the depart, and some of the big wigs come over take a look and comment. No big deal, there's a guy who looks like pee wee herman, so after mostly everyone leaves his 2 cents " so how is the gas mileage on this" luckily i had a good co worker, "he didn't buy a DUCATI for gas savings" then just me a pee wee, "hey ...-boy go take your scooter and screw, no cares about your stupid questions!!"
 
People ask me "How does it ride?"... Riding this bike gives you such a sensual feeling, its like sneezing... slowly... while doing peyote.
 
"My dad says his Celica is faster" (no joke, this is a true comment. Which he said the same thing when I had my 911)

LOL dads hey? Show him that utube vid were the Pani demoralises a 911 RS2 driver up the drag strip and everywere else for that matter. 911 only beats him on top end and then he had to 200mph to get by him. This RS2 has over 600BHP BTW.:D after all that ya good old dad will say pah!!! Celica is faster, car driver is a ..... and bike rider is a ....:D:D. haha.
 
I ALWAYS get asked what is the fastest you've had it up to. I should say why don't you follow me and find out ;)
 
At the pub, coming home from a ride, a potbellied Harley rider boasted about his souped-up engine. He walked around our bikes ( Pani, RC8R and SF) and said: "Mine's got 120hp, I'll own any of these riceburners on the first 150 yards".
My little brother offered to go for "pinks" with his SF which our warrior-friend declined.
