what do you guys use to clean your wheels. on my bmw car i was using this stuff i bought on auto geek griots wheel cleaner. i bought like a gallon of the stuff and it was terrible i could just have used soap and water and a brush.

i hate scrubbing open to suggestions. i heard simple green anybody have recommendations?

Simple Green and Spray Cleaner and Polish (Honda Polish). All I have used for the past 10 years. Simple Green only if there is caked on stuff, but I use some no fling chain wax, which I don't get anything on the wheels from it. Normally just a quick squirt of Honda Polish and wipe it down. Done.

i love honda polish the original never thought to use it on my wheels. however this new chemical guys stuff is even better. waterless carwash and wax

wd40 followed by 2 tbs of dawn dish detergent in a gallon of scalding hot water.. it takes of wheel weight grime also..

I use that orange based "goo gone" stuff. Smells good, gets all the brake dust and motul chain lube off.

My suggestion is when they are clean to use a wheel wax on them. this will help stop crap sticking to the wheels.

However stuff like WD40 and dish soap is going to strip that off.

I find a cloth with quick detailer on it just gets the dirt off mine.

Then wheel wax every few months.

The best stuff for track rubber/chain fling, I use Tarminator from Stoner. It's also great for removing the double sided weight tape. After I'm done cleaning I do a quick wipe down with pledge.

*Pledge keeps a lot of crap from sticking to the rim so it stays cleaner looking for longer

I prefer not to use cleaners such as Simple Green etc. While I don't know for a fact I have heard they can be corrosive. Regardless of whether they are or not I find just using spray polish works fine. I clean my bikes, including wheels after every ride so I'm never dealing with a major build up.
