MCN will test the 1199 Panigale this week?
Will there be bench results? More info?

does anyone know if there will be testing

I'm sure there are thousands of potential owners and lots of salesmen anxiously awaiting the reviews to hit the street.
The bike would have to be pretty bad for most magazines to say something negative about it. It won't be until the comparisons come out that we get a better idea of how the press really feels.

I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for any information on the bike. I have read every word I could find.

More is welcome.

Chris

Ducati has started doing what Apple does. Create products in secret, then announce it and create huge amounts of attention. It's crazy that they pretty much sold out world wide before production even started.

I don't believe the target market really cares much what the press writes, hence the sell-out non-shocker!!

It'll be more than most can handle, exclusive and its reassuringly expensive :p

Worse that may be levelled could be how accessible the performance is on the street, but this will probably serve to turn people on :D

Can't wait

Dying to hear what the press has to say

I want to hear all teh news on quality and handling characteritics on the track.

Especailly the technology :p

Is this true...??!!

Incredible.

Only a few more sleeps to go everybody and remember Bayliss said its the best bike he has ridden and "I'm a believer" even though the beatles said it first.

MCN Testing

Yes that's correct MCN are testing the 1199 Panigale in Dubai 11th Feb just three days after testing the MV Agusta F3 at the Paul Ricard Curcuit. It will be interesting to see if any comparisons are made as the limited edition F3, which don't forget is just a little over 600cc is basically the same price as a Ducati 1199 Panigale S with ABS in the UK. Just think about that for a while.

True, but then MV's just don't compare well, particularly on price tag:

- All the Serie Oro models are just crazy expensive, pushing the F3, as you correctly say, close to the 1199S+ABS.

- Also, the standard F3 is 2012 Fireblade money

I don't, however, think many would consider an F3/F3 Oro against similarly priced 2-wheeled porn.

One thing for sure, the 1199 is gonna be difficult to resist for anyone with between £14995 and £23495 to spend:):):)

Ducati has spent time making the Diavel and the SF848 for manageble and user friendly, and with the new geometry on the 1199, i would think this bike with be much easier to ride than the 1198/848...hopefully

Not necessarily a test of the bike but can't wait to watch National Geographic Ultimate Factories: Ducati!! Sat FEB 18th 8pm

Too bad they weren't showing the 1199's and showed the multistrada, but still the Multistrada is an amazing bike built for a different purpose

If this is a track launch then there should be more journalists from many mags and websites there, not just MCN. I just hope Ducati will not completely micromanage the whole affair and actually let the test riders adjust the suspension between the track sessions, as this is something they typically dont do though. I remember when Ducati launched the 1198S at Portimao circuit in 2009, "Roadracing World" magazine was there and Chris Ullrich, the writer, said the bike was great and had tons of potential but was compromised due to the weird factory suspension and chassis setup, and that Ducati would not let him make simple suspension adjustments to the bike during the track sessions to improve the handling.. The kicker here is that Ullrich is an AMA superbike racer and was more than capable of riding the bike to its limits, so he knew what he was talking about and Ducati should have let him adjust the bike to his liking.

You can read all about how a Panigale is built in the February 8 issue of MCN as we have been granted full access to the production lines. A video will also be available that day.

today this video will be available! but i can not found that?

I read tons and tons of reviews about the 848evo and 1198, and many of them said the suspension was garbage during their first session, but they went into the pits and had it adjusted and it made a world of difference.

MCN reports £9999 for the F3.
