Base model. not base S model I apologize for the typo.
I've got a deposit on the base model. Picking it up in a couple of weeks. I figure with the $5,000 I save from not getting the S I can buy parts of my choice, making the bike more personalized.
Or, I could change my mind and get the S. I keep going back and forth.
It's a tough choice.

The S is now 25k instead of 22k. Unless Ducati has played w/ the margins. An "S" w/ exhaust is now 30k. Crazy... I got a crazy deal on my 1st "S". Hopefully this summer I can make a deal for another S other wise base all the way....

I just bought an S last week.
It started with me looking at a new 899, then realising I could pickup a mint 1199 for the same money, which was also cheaper to insure somehow!
The added whizzbangs over the 899 make it a winner for me - if you're buying the bike for how it looks you might as well get the one that looks the best? This was my argument over whether I entertained a standard or S model.
