How is an early 70's Hemi Cuda more traditional than a 1954 300SL Gullwing Merc?

Perhaps I misquoted to strike the correct feelings on that. The Gullwing is refined where the 426 Hemi makes no excuses for itself. It hits hard, and has a peaky motor. The L twin motors are peaky punchy and animalistic motors.

Sounds like you're new to Ducati ;) Some of us old timers cut our teeth on the 851/888, 916/955/996/998, 999 and 1098/1198, almost all of which were not considered peaky at all. The first iteration of the Panigale, with the introduction of the Superquadro engine, changed that.

Thanks for the education , although off topic. Insight is always useful from ppl that have been around for a
Longer periods of time and seen more

Finally prices for us. 39100€ for V4S and 55290€ Speciale. Yes we have a steep vehicle tax. Damn, I wanted Speciale but maybe have to settle for regular S.

I rode the V4S today I also have a speciale on order and for those that want to wait a year
you truely will miss out on something special.

Waiting for my first Ducati, money down on a Speciale. Now doing leg lengthening exercises so I can touch the floor when stationary!

V4s

Just picked up my V4S yesterday, now it's time to start the race build, hopefully I can find parts , The full arkapovic is arriving this week

I currently ride the 1199S and test rode the V4S this morning at the launch in Brisbane. Great bike, amazing to ride. I'm a track and road rider, no expert however. The only negative thing which doesn't sound like a negative, is that it felt like I was riding a Japanese bike. Smooth and seamless gear changes and the handling was like I was on an arcade simulator. It just seemed to lack the untamed Ducati feel. Everything seemed perfect which is not the Ducati's I have come to know. The sound didn't impress me, I have heard that the computer is programmed at idle to drop two cylinders to sound like a twin and then when in gear it opens up all four cylinders again (smart)
I will keep my 1199S. Oh and I don't have a spare 40K lying around. It is a weapon though, just seems to lack soul and for this reason I wasn't tempted to purchase. Anyone else have a similar experience?

2017 1299 S gauge

Quick question? I have the 1299S and I've recently seen a few videos where the words "racing" comes up on the screen when the key is turned to the on position. Mine doesn't say that. Anyone else have that issue? Is there a upload or something?

Racing or Evo Racing will only come up if the Akra upmap is uploaded.
