Spin on oil filter????

That's a D16RR engine incidentally (just Google it and see what comes up). If Ducati replicate this, I am sure it will have some improvements added and slightly different architecture, else this is a backwards step IMHO.

Also seems as if the model name "Desmosedici Stradale" is potentially official and not Panigale V4 (as the spy shot in the Mugello pit garage shows). They state on their website it is going on display at Misano on Sunday, with the engine being unveiled today. We should expect to see at least one grainy spy shot by Monday!!

You wanted: a 4cyl

You wanted: a bmw like bike

You got: a fat red bike that is every bit as ugly as any Bmw ever built

in fact it looks like a K1200:D

Yep!

I don't care how good that motor is, I'm not having it.

It's like the fat/ugly bird that's the best ride you've ever had, but you wouldn't marry it.

It's still fugly! I cannot believe the design department dropped the ball on this one. I'm hoping/guessing this is a ruse and the bodywork is not what will end up on the finished bike. Ducati are not known for security quite this lax, so it's almost as if they want you to see "it".

The wider front reminds me of a Hyosung :(. My gf thought it looked like an old 90's bike due to its size lol. I'm still gonna check it out at the dealership, but based on these pics, our 1299's won't be looking dated anytime soon :D.
It'd be interesting to see how long this first iteration of the V4 lasts for as the design just doesn't scream out 'all-new' even though I'm sure there is absolutely no shared part.... well except maybe the wheels lol

So, anyone still thinking it's a fake/Photoshop? :D

(sorry, couldn't resist)

Hats off TJ, thanks for your candor........I can see why you left if this is their product direction.

Maybe it is and Ducati is pulling a shifty on all of us. They intentionally release these 'leaks' to bring the hype down, then come November, they'll unveil a design totally different and sexier lol.

Keep the faith alive, brother. :D:D:D
