I also received two version of the Afixmoto tank cover // ext.
1- is the HIGH version
1- is the HIGH + EXT version

I will most likely use the HIGH + EXT version
 
Could you elaborate on where this tank came from and cost please? Apparently cover....
 
@Karl did you get a full Fast Frank quick change or just the Axle? What does “quasi” mean
i was thinking on getting a titanium front axle from Podium ($280) but maybe I’ll be happier with a quick axle. Not having to mess with the pinch bolts

Buy a FF front axle the ease of getting the axle in and out with the pull cap and captive nut is better then any marginal weight gain on a ti front axle.
I say QUASI because it isnt really a quick change setup unless you are using SBK forks with floating fender attach and the ability to leave calipers mounted. Its more like and easy use axle setup.

This is something I saw as a full kit, not sure who makes it, plus didn’t see if they make one for the V4

Front axle size is the same between all the above list and V4, so it would work but it would require:
1-Dismantling forks
2-New front brake lines - assuming you aren't running the required setup
3-Removing fender mount on current fork bottoms

Also depends on which forks you have and travel fork tube diameter, this is definitely a level of consideration that usually only goes along with SBK forks

Quick removing axle is enough for me

I think you be better off putting that $500 towards better brakes

I think there is something to be said for making changing the front wheel a bit easier. Not having to mess with pinch bolts, calipers, wheel spacers etc especially if you change rubber fairly often would be nice. I like the Fast Frank axle and have though about picking one up myself for those reasons (yes the axle by its self still requires the removal of the calipers but its a start). The quick change would be great but its fairly involved and does require the elimination of the OEM fender mounts. Having seen how the Fast Frank stuff is, I was able to do something similar to it with the OEM axle. While there is no pull cup i did a thin slider instead and a feed ramp on the front of to ease in feeding the axle through.

Wow that looks like a kickass track. I've ridden zero east /south
Thunderbolt looks pretty fun too. I like some of the smaller tracks, they're really fun.
In Cali, we have Laguna or course which is a dream, but, there's a tiny track called Thunder Hill that's crazy fun. Nothing but grass around it, no gravel run-offs, no frills, skinny pavement, bring your own everything. But fun as hell. Loud as you want, no restrictions.

The Ridge in Washington is similar to that. Not a narrow track, but basically no runoffs anywhere. MotoAmerica had a hard time racing there because anytime someone went down, their bike was obliterated instead of having a nice runoff to gracefully slide to a stop. I only ever rode it before the chicane though. The chicane makes official races a clusterfuck at the beginning, but a slow clusterfuck is safer than the extremely fast clusterfuck turn 1 used to be.

Do other cali tracks have sound restrictions? I know Laguna does, but in shopping around for track days (heading to ACS the weekend after this upcoming one) I have yet to see any other venue talk about sound restrictions. Really pains my heart knowing it will be extremely difficult to actually ride my bike at Laguna, since it is a bucket list track for me.
