Where is the best place to mount the the Woolich log box? I guess I'm just thinking about the install and the best place to mount it.

Back of the tail , can’t leave it hooked up and it’s always drawing volts .

Connect in use discount after . It’s a little box .

That really depends if you are using the active logging feature. Mine is in the tail. I believe Mick and i have the same setup. To be clear we are not running a stock tail, we both have the CDT carbon tail which has a lot of room in the back as well as an easy access panel under the tail which makes it ideal to mount electronics. I had my RapidBike setup there for a long time. I piggybacked the V3 box on top of the 2 Zeitronic wideband boxes to the removable panel. That way i drop down the entire assemble if I need to in about 2 min. I also mounted a remote plug for the Bren box (which i use for diag) and the usb for the V3 box in the tail so I don't have to access the diag plug or the V3 box for data

Of the topic, I apologize but I must ask Alvarop, what's up with all that moisture inside you clutch cover!?

There is moisture even inside a sealed clutch. It's unavoidable as it is obviously from the atmosphere and gets in there when assembled.

Once it heats up it goes away fairly quick.

It happened on my 899 and my 1199 , common on these bikes

Currently I am using the OEM tail section. It does not look like there would be enough room to fit the Log box and the wideband boxes in there. How critical is it to have access to the Log Box? I know that it will need to plug into a laptop but is there a cable that can be used so I could mount the boxes by the ECU?

I had the log boxes mounted under the seat . The Woolich Interface will fit in the rear of bike. I remove my interface when not logging

I have now used woolich software on two different bikes and their customer service response is unreal quick .

They seem to have 24/7 service due to having support in USA and UK .

Your ability to tune , tweak and the information resource is unreal and easy to learn .

If you are looking for a good tune for the 1299, they have a really good tune loaded which can be shared once you purchase woolich serial Key and hardware .

Mapshare is fantastic all woolich users can all share maps with each other which is instant.

They also have a autotune device which will do it all for you as well.

I’m not an expect and have no connection with Woolich only Sharing my positive experience with woolich.

Check it out yourself, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with they customer service and expertise.

No problem , they are loaded online .

When you buy the key you’ll have access , if share your Map I’ll be able to see yours as you make changes .

So how user friendly is the software? I am planning on upgrading to the full auto tune set up here in about a month but am curious on how easy it is you use from a practical sense.

The autotune is very easy to use and lots of support . The only recommendation I have is you need dyno time hard to run bike at 299kms on the street .

That’s the only down side to the auto tune , however with Dyno time you’ll creat a tune just for your bike in your conditions .

How it works will record your A/F as you ride on different throttle positions , you set a A/F target and hit apply to correct . It will only correct in small increment so you’ll need to repeat process why I am suggesting dyno time . This is the fast basic explanation however little bit more to it.

Message Woolwich. They also have lots of videos to watch step by step . Easy .

Well just pulled the trigger on it today. so I guess I'm going to find out. Is it as simple as ride the bike, come in, shut the bike off but still have it powered up, plug in to lap top, see what corrections it wants to make based on what AF ratio I want, then send the corrections to the ECU? Then repeat.

So violent

Can’t wait to see some install pictures / videos and an initial write up. I love that it seems open source instead of secretive like Brenn.

Do u have a tuning shop your working with?

They told me it’s $500 for a comprehensive Dyno tune and they need it for 2 days. I’m only 5 hrs from them so it’ll happen once everything settles down unless... woolich

If you are running a 1299 , you can use a map already uploaded on their map share .

All three tunes are for a full AKR system with smogg plate installed . It’s a really nice tune run apply your auto tune and make your specific changes .

Upload what you have and everyone with woolich can view . We can all share maps and help each other .

Woolich awareness .

Point me to some literature on this smog plate, or just explain to me what that is. Do they install that at the dealer when installing Akra?

This is an example very common found in Net . From what I understand if you don’t mod will throw off your A/F , smogg Plates on our bikes serve the purpose
To pass emissions .
You’ll need to turn this off in your tune when installed .

Also don’t forget to adjust fan temp on which is also a cool feature . I have mine come on at 85 not 103 like before .

Brenn gave me early fan on! I think the fine tuned fueling helps keep the beast cooler (rather than leaning it out as it seems they do from the factory to meet emissions?)

but the early fan on is huge in itself. I don’t have Cruise Control capability, one software thing I wish I could do.

my other software request is to adjust the function of my 1299S factory LED headlamp function. I’d like to keep the Low beams on when I activate the high beams. US DOT made Ducati have low beam switch off when high beam is on because it surpassed maximum brightness allowed.
It’s been confirmed that it’s software changes and in the euro models, low beam stays on when brights are triggered.

upcoming mod is going to be VP racing fuels engine coolant or maybe Engine Ice which is very popular on here. I was told they are better than the fancy Pink Ducati Coolant
