    Rear brake fluid color?

Wondering if it's normal that the rear break fluid on my bike (1299) has gone from a honey colour to purple and now black? The bike has 600 km on it now and is 5 weeks old, I have a KTM Duke R with the same break master cylinder and it went from a light honey colour to purple, it's 8 months old...

1199 R track bike - brake drag, almost out of ideas

I have brake drag on my 14' 1199 R track bike (1500 track miles). When I spin the front wheel on the front stand it'll only spin 1 revolution, and you can hear the rotor dragging on the pads. So far I've tested the following: * Cleaned the calipers thoroughly (simple green /w tooth brush) *...

    1199 rear brake doesn't work... :/

    Galfer 1300 brake pads

has anyone here used them? I've used the 1375s on many bikes, but am considering the 1300 compound as I think I'll be doing a lot more track days. However, I will continue to do a lot of street riding.

    front brake rotor bolt removal

it's taking a LOT of force to undo these, so before stripping anything I've stopped. I believe the spec torque on these is 43nm, but it took over 50nm to get the two bolts I had gotten out back to where the yellow marks line up. are these bolts held in by red loctite (and therefore require a...

    Clutch brake lever acting up?!?!

So today after work I was in my work's parking lot and put Sofia in 1st gear and she started to roll with a good amount of umph. I had the clutch lever all the way in yet the gear was engaged. As I was rolling forward in the parking lot I tried to put her back in N with the clutch lever in. No...

Aftermarket Stainless brake lines - worthwhile race upgrade?

My 1199 is primarily for race use. My previous race bikes have all had aftermarket braided stainless lines, but they were all japanese bikes or supermoto conversions, so the upgrade was a no-brainer. Am I correct (albeit surprised) that the 1199's stock brake lines are not braided SS...

    Brake pad upgrade?

I just found out how long the pads doesn't last, so I had to get new oem pads (I live 500 meters away from the dealer). But for next time, can someone recommend a better set of pads for a trackday regular? They should also work fair enough for a highway commuter, but I don't need optimum bite...

My bike has been at ducati for 5 weeks, im pretty happy about it. Its a 2013 1199s with abs. Every two weeks the brake lever goes soft, not just a little you can almost squeeze it to the bar. I think its the master, they say its the abs system. The ducati rep told the mechanic to bleed the...

Troubles changing the rear brake light switch

Hi all! I'm trying to change the rear brake switch, but the bolts going through the cover has some kind of back washer on the bolt which seems like it's fixed to the threads of the bolt somehow. Any tips on how to get the bolts out so I can place and fix the new wire?

Ducati GP15 bike - new jake brake??

I heard it last night in FP1 and 2, and again in FP3 - Dovi's bike making this crazy weird sound on deceleration, this chopping sound I've never heard before, almost like a motorcycle version of a jake brake. any theories as to what that is? is it increasing or decreasing engine braking?
