Do you have an idea what the specs of parts is to make such a comment? Again, get back with me on the frame piece alone. But add in a ton of different things like I mentioned internally to make the motor capable of the higher HP that is genuinely on the safe side in terms of what they are quoting...
It has some things on it that add up. Take an 1199R and add Titanium everything. Every fairing bolt, case cover bolt, etc. Then add the wheels, add the electronic features with the next gen of engine and bike management and you have a lot more than $35k. Like I said, that subframe has got to be $8-$10k alone...
All I am saying is that it seems you are looking at just the outside and not the parts in of themselves. The fairings also aren't going to be cheap. They are F1 quality, guys. I am saying once you see the bike in person and can compare to such things like high end race cars and production of such elaborate design, you will see that $35k on top of an R is really cheaper than they could have asked.
Add up the wheels, carbon and the ti and that would get you damn close. You're missing SOOOOOOOO much more just beyond those few things.
Bike is nice but additional costs = does not equal the parts spec in my opinion
The ash tray and bar fridge are Harley accessories but I think your on to something with the cocktail cabinet and how about a espresso machine so you can make every stop a Starbuck's stop.Ash tray?
And an entertainment system for the pillion.
What about a bar fridge??
With a cocktail cabinet.

There will always be a market for people with too much money haha!
There has to be, the other option is Urals and Trabants for everyone
I cannot believe someone used the Ural word on this forum....![]()
You guys are all funny talking in reference to pricing and stuff... Find a SINGLE manufacturer doing something like this. The materials involved alone are worth the asking price. Try and make a Magnesium composite frame body and get back to me as to the cost of making that and what you'd have to charge to make any money on the deal...
Also, the specs of this bike are amazing. Look closely at the pistons, the crank, the things outside may leave you feeling bummed, but it is the heart that makes me excited. The carbon fiber sub frame alone is probably worth almost $10k. It shouldn't be hidden it is that beautiful.
I've pushed the bike with everything but fuel in it and it felt like a mountain bike. Amazing. And when you look at details like EVERY fairing bolt, every engine bolt, every EVERY bolt made of titanium. The rounded and sculptured fairing edges, the details like the spacers, etc. All attention to details.
This is a "Hey world, this is what CAN be done and produced for the general public". And oh yeah... 8 lbs lighter than the WSBK...
Quit looking at the outside and pay attention to the details and $65k will make you feel that they could have asked for so much more. Try and price out an 1199RS13 and get back to me.
Wow, there are thinking adults here!
Seriously folks, its awesome, its expensive and it is a track special with street capabilities, albiet limited street capabilities. Congrats to those who can plunk down the coin and get one and can I get a ride?
Dammit, I missed them…where are the "thinking folks" at?
It is an amazing bike. The fact that it comes from the factory makes it more so. The price does seem a little steep though considering everything. I guess the price range is about right though, speaking from an evolutionary standpoint. The Desmo was what..$50kish?
MV's CC was over a $100k new if I am not mistaken and that bike didn't seem to have the overall packaging of either the Desmo or the SL (my opinion).
