A&R posted more pics on the 1199 SL from EICMA but I was mainly interested in 2 of them which seemed to highlight the DWC control on the LH switch..

The light colored switch has the word UP on the front and there is one on the reverse side of the grip which says DOWN

I'd wager it is for on-the-fly DTC adjustement, similar to what the Aprilia RSV4 already has.

The UP switch is for the new optional touring windscreen which is electrically adjustable and very lightweight. I read about it on the internet.

It's actually for adjusting suspension height for offroad riding. I know for a fact it's correct cuz I read about it on the s1000rr forum.

You guys are all funny talking in reference to pricing and stuff... Find a SINGLE manufacturer doing something like this. The materials involved alone are worth the asking price. Try and make a Magnesium composite frame body and get back to me as to the cost of making that and what you'd have to charge to make any money on the deal...

Also, the specs of this bike are amazing. Look closely at the pistons, the crank, the things outside may leave you feeling bummed, but it is the heart that makes me excited. The carbon fiber sub frame alone is probably worth almost $10k. It shouldn't be hidden it is that beautiful.

I've pushed the bike with everything but fuel in it and it felt like a mountain bike. Amazing. And when you look at details like EVERY fairing bolt, every engine bolt, every EVERY bolt made of titanium. The rounded and sculptured fairing edges, the details like the spacers, etc. All attention to details.

This is a "Hey world, this is what CAN be done and produced for the general public". And oh yeah... 8 lbs lighter than the WSBK...

Quit looking at the outside and pay attention to the details and $65k will make you feel that they could have asked for so much more. Try and price out an 1199RS13 and get back to me.

Oh, and the electronics are updated to be MUCH better than what any street bike currently has. Think about what that alone would increase the asking price...

The Best of Everything

Red Dawn gets it. This is the baddest production bike to every grace this planet by a long shot. And I don't know what people are talking about with respect to the outside, as this thing is absolutely gorgeous. Ducati has once again delivered to us what no other manufacturer is capable of or willing to deliver and I find it astonishing. This is an historical piece of motorcycle art dripping with capability. This exercise in excess is worth every penny they are asking for it and more, and whoever gets to own and ride one of these beautys is very fortunate in deed. Viva Ducati!

beautiful

flobrandx. That's hilarious. I love it. Beautiful pic of your Tri in the wild btw.
