We went to Osborne Park to see the Aprilia maybe we'll trade one of our 1299 for a 2017 RSV4 RF or an RR when they bring out a TFT screen and LED lights.

I wished there was a bike that looked exactly like the Panigale 1299 but with the MV Agusta F4 RR Fuel tank, BMW S1000RR mirrors, an Aprila's V4 Engine, and the reliability of a Honda :) I would buy it in a heart beat.

The R1 has absolutely nothing under 7k RPM, it really protests into life, i don't know how you can say the opposite, i have tried the R1, it is a fantastic bike, but it has the most impressive lack of torque in the low / mid rpm i have ever seen on a 1000cc sportbike. That's a fact.

Stock. A flashed R1 with a pipe running significantly better .

The 2017 RSV4 is a nice bike. It even has cruise control. I wouldn't mind having one but it wouldn't replace my Pani. I wouldn't mind a MV F4RC either. I need more bikes.

Never tried a tuned one, but i'm talking about the test of the stock R1 compared to the Panigale 1299. And i'm pretty sure that even tuned it would still have to be ridden over 7k-9k rpm.

In the R1's defense its $5k cheaper than a base 1299 so thats not really a fair comparison imo. $5k in the R1 world will get you a ton of goodies too because they dont have the duc luxury tax lol
Theres no denying the 15 plus R1 lacks low end though, they designed that bike to be full on track so you need to be high up in the rpm for any grunt and if youre swapping over from a 1299 the r1 has got to feel like a lawnmower down low.

The new Rsv's are nice but they are in desperate need of a major update. Yeah they did a mild refresh in 2016 but that overall design is going on 8 years now and the 3 halogens upfront are starting to look dated. The sound that V4 makes though is pretty intimidating.

sucks for living in Canada and having to deal with Luxury tax. :D

I've always wanted a Panigale with at least 2 inches wider stance (fairings), MV Agusta F4 RR Fuel Tank, BMW S1000RR mirrors, Aprilia V4 Engine, reliability of a Honda, and a more affordable price :)

Maybe some day someone will make this bike for me :)

Yeah i am thinking about the 2017 RSV4 :) i like the bike but the shape is not as nice as the Pani unfortunately (nothing will ever out do the beauty of the Pani ever).

I have no personal experience with the rsv4, but others have told me it has more reliability issues and worse dealer logistics than Ducati.

Definitely not as reliable as people think. I wanted an Rsv4 2 years ago and spent a lot of time on the ape forums and read the Valves on them needed to be inspected and adjusted pretty early on. Same stories as other manufactures too with blown engines.

I went to their forums to read and ask questions, the forum reminds me of a grave yard.

I never did like the shape or the design of the bike especially the front fairings and head lights (so 1984).
