2015 Panigale R doesnt have full LED headlight???

Jeff...I think that's a little harsh on the OP???

Steve, you know I usually tend to the harsh side. It's the interwebs, not a real conversation between two people. I know I wouldn't talk to somebody like that in real life, and for damn sure nobody would say .... like that to me in person. This is our recreation/vent when we have to be in front of keyboards instead of out enjoying our toys. I'm come to embrace that ;)

Jeff...I know.....Seems the tone of the debate is tending towards the pugnacious side.... Shame really...because I think its a really great thread and shows how polarised opinions can be.....

Like that has any bearing on anything said in this thread. I didn't realize you own the internet. Thanks for sharing your bandwidth

By no means was I trying to imply that I had control of the google machine or any of its offspring... I was simply trying to say that the bashing had gotten way out of hand and that it wasn't my intention. Plain and simple everyone who's calling people posers and .........s would not have come out saying that it was ........ that Ducati had put a full LED headlight in the new R had they gone and done so. You wouldn't hear any complaining from anyone if the bike came with the same equipment that the past years had or the 1299s. Thats a fact, not an opinion, so how anyone can go around claiming to be the tits because they think they're a better rider and therefore entitled to defend ducati's decision to not incorporate full LEDs while making the rest of us peasant riders out to be the scum of the earth is so far beyond my understanding it's crazy

Did everyone forget ducati won 2014 with LED on our current 2014 R? I bet they can do that again with FULL LED in 2015 cuz LED doesnt make bike slower. But instead they went cheap in the name of "this is a track bike" excuse. They might as well just get rid of headlights period cuz "its going track" anyways...

but whats done is done and there is no LED in 2015 so few of mad customers rant is all pointless i guess.

Lol, I think the R will have LED.

It says LED lighting on the website and it's hard to tell from the pic, but looks like LED headlamps to me.

1299 S says full LED headlights on it and 2015 R doesnt. that led meant for other lights. plus if u look at the picture of NEW R closely head light looks like regular not LED...

BUT IF it happens to come up with FULL LED headlights, all these fueds in this thread was all for nothing lol.

It also doesn't have electronic suspension, no one crying about that.

On the ducati site is says exactly

LED lighting

Another detail that gives the Panigale its total racing look is the twin headlamp at front designed to be an integral part of the front air scoops, with integrated LED positioning lights. The double LED lights at rear harmoniously wrap around the air vents in the seat-tail assembly and, when turned on, create an alluring effect of signalling lights enhanced by stop lights. LED technology is also been used for the front and rear turn indicators as well as the number plate light

No LED headlights

some do care. not everyone is like you. and u dont need to be ...... to ppl who want LED. Its my money and you dont need to say anyting about what i want.

I did not realise that I said anything (note spelling of the word anything) about how you spent your money. Not being an ......, (note use of the "an" indefinite article, used prior to a word starting with a vowel) I actually have LED on my 2012 S. Just disagree that it is the dealbreaker that that you allege it is.

Claudio D is probably taking notes as we speak after reading your posts. I look forward to seeing more informative posts from you. Thanks for being part of the forum. Its what makes it so much fun.:D

Ducati Bosch Inertial Platform

I think this should have closed out this long running debate for good...no?

Now all of you professional forum racers out there can start a thread complaining that it has LED light and it's too heavy. :D

I posted below that it doesnt have led headlights as stated on the ducati site see below.

Weird that they show conflicting info...

When you click LED LIGHTNING on the ducati page it shows what I posted. All the lights are LED except the headlights. It is very misleading. Maybe they were hoping buyers read between the lines instead of being upfront about it.

Ok, here's what I just pulled from the Ducati site and it does talk about a difference between the R and S.

Unequalled beauty
The beauty of speed translated into design. Pure racing spirit is channelled to the rider with a grasp of the 1299 Panigale's handlebars. Large, aggressive air intakes feed the new Superquadro engine and signal no holds-barred competition. The 1299 Panigale and Panigale R feature an advanced headlight with LED positioning lights, while the 1299 Panigale S uses a full LED headlight for the ultimate statement of technical cool. In the rear all models use a full LED taillight which accents the all-new split tail, while a perfectly integrated under-belly exhaust keeps the lines clean and pure. An award-winning integration of engineering and design, the Panigale gets the adrenaline flowing from the first glance.Power, agility, and sophistication, wrapped in the very best Italian style.
