Speedo doesn’t require calibration, at least on the v4. Speedo is via speed sensor on the wheel instead of on the counter shaft.

Here’s all the stuff I went with this time, mostly CNC racing stuff….15 tooth front, 43 tooth rear…we’ll see how that final drive goes, I’m over 270 pounds with gear on so it’s not wheely’ing as is haha.

Here’s mine, mostly CNC stuff from Bellisimoto, 3D chain….went with 15/43 teeth abs couldn’t be happier with that final drive ratio, pulls hard, all the way through the rpm range then when you hit about 8500 rpm it just lifts off lol

so far no problem with wheelie but I also haven’t pulled hard on it beyond DWC setting 2

These wheels will be on my bike very soon, how do you like them?

New DID race chain in Nickel (finally got rid of the gold chain) Sitta Carrier, Sitta 41, CNC Ti flange, AEM Ti drive pins. I switched to the QC because I’m riding a lot more and the type of riding is a bitch on sprockets. I like the Sitta because of their QC setup which is super fast and a bunch lighter than another row of nuts and bolts. I machined the back spacer to where I needed it for perfect alignment.

Got the chain from Chaparral and the sprockets and carriers from WRS. Flange from CNC direct drive pins from Belisimoto. I ran the DID ERV 3 forever. Great chain, just wanted away from the gold. This new chain from DID is basically the same in Nickel so I’m trying it out. I buy the spacers from Ducati and machine them to give me what I want. It’s a little bit different on various carrier/flange combo. Correct alignment is a very slight movement of the carrier (rotation) on the Cush drives when the assembly is torqued and even side tooth wear on the sprocket. You get that by manipulating the spacer.

Thank you; are all those US-based vendors? Wanting to go 520 for my 1199S—

absolutely love em, and combined with the Sicom rotors it’s crazy the effect….overall with the wheels and the rotors I guess it takes off about 10 pounds or so of rotating mass…which makes the bike REALLY responsive and light when turning, big boost to the handling.

takes a bit of getting use to on the highway though.

the MUCH lower gyroscopic forces that make it lean just by turning your head also make it less stable feeling in some ways, especially when getting hit with a crosswind on the highway.

you have ever ridden a road racing bicycle with disc wheels and had a cross wind feel like it’s going to blow the bikeout from under you sideways you will understand the feeling, though it’s WAY less on the Ducati your also feeling a little sideways twitch from a strong crosswind at much higher speeds than on a road bicycle lol.

it’s not enough to freak you out, but it’s noticeable.

but overall that’s a minor issue for how good the bike moves now….it feels like riding a flea that moves wherever you point your nose lol

The bike feels tremendously lighter underneath you, and way more lively….more visceral

Thanks very much for the review... Do you apply anything to keep them clean and pristine? or just wipe and go?

to be honest I’m not much of a clean freak so I just wipe and go, or not lol.

because that bike has a unique livery and it’s a numbered bike I’m probably gunna get it ceramic coated, maybe the wheels too

Following up on this---so with this particular setup---the stock spacer is too thick to allow perfect chain alignment? It needs to be machined down thinner? I'm considering your setup, but I don't have access to a lathe. Surprised the manufacturer allowed the sprocket carrier tolerance to be "out". Is this machining absolutely necessary? I certainly want correct chain alignment.
