im bring up this thread to ask question to those that have dealt with akrapovic in the past

when i last dealt with akra on my last bike the system was already out

its been past 1 year and still been pushed back

question is Why do you believe its been pushed back?
and has this happen before on other models?

are they really trying to perfect this. i wonder will there be changes to the system.
 
i guess they are facing the same challenges like all other tuners. heat, no big power advantage, roasted fairings, noise...
 
Akrapovic has some significant oem manufacturing obligations that is forcing then to push a LOT if things back. They are really tied in with a few auto mfg that is causing it to impact their production lines (as well as potentially ours now and in the future )
 
I took a couple pictures when i was at Cota. They had a Tricolore on display. I asked how much they said 4300.

It is really a beautiful exhaust, what I would expect from them. I am not surprised how long this is taking, I am sure Termi had the specs long before the bike came out, there's no telling when Akra got them. The muffler has a very un-orthodox shape, so I imagine it takes some time to get all the tooling set up. I mean, it's not like it's just a bent piece of metal tubing :D

They also might have been delayed because of Ducati's recent heat shield change.

My buddy owns a small motorcycle shop and asked me the other day about the Akra system. I told him that we didn't know when it was going to release or not. Well... He has an Akra rep and called her on the phone while I was there and confirmed that it would be released in early July and 3 people already had theirs reserved in the area.

I am thinking about getting it. But, does it come with any type of fuel tuning module? Or must it be dyno'd to get the results?
 
hey elite your guess is good as any

what they have said is there is no comfirmation on the look as its just a prototype
the carbon bits maybe titanium in the end due to heat

the dyno thing ecu.
akra never offer a system in the past but never say never
this could be the 1st but there is no REAL proof this time being so be ready to do your own dyno run

i have a thing for titanium and akra system
i am still waiting out for results and consumer result before i decide which root i choose
