Have been told the Akra system not a full race one - i.e. not with huge 70mm headers as Termi race system. Perhaps that's why no dyno results ?
 
that price is correct. Akra's have never been on the cheaper end of things. And Termi's have never really been considered the "best of the best" in their category either. So its to be expected for someone to make what they believe to be "better" than the OEM upgraded exhaust.
 
I think they look nice, but I'll prolly stay stock as IMHO ducati actually did a nice job on thre stock cans.

Full termi supposedly is actually worse performance and termi slip-ons are only marginally better. Only drawback that I can think of with stock is it's supposed to be a bit louder than termi slip-ons.

I do agree that these akra's look great and appear to be top-shelf build. I'm sure they are also lighter than stock too, but personally I just don't see that they are $4k worth of bling. I'd have to hate the look of stockers to be pushed to pay to play... Ducati did a nice job on stock.
 
just got off the phone with AKRA. Here is what i was told.
1 the system goes on sale in january. ebay is pre order.
2 the system is designed to work without an upmap or powercomander. however akra is working with redline for upmaps ecu whatever you want to call it.
3 power numbers will be out in about a month

now for the juicy tid bits

1 the power numbers are going to be significant (grain of salt it was a sales guy at akra)
2 ducati was very impressed with what akra came up with.
3 on slip ons for a while.
4 termi upmap should work but may run a little lean on the top end.

This is just a repeat of what i was told. this isnt me talking take it as you wish i am just a messenger.

Re other details, it's gonna be:

- full sys only
- shipping March 2013
- eur4000!!!!!!!
- designed to work with standard Ducati Race map
 
if Akra could push for any potential superstock team with 1199 to use , they may sell more,due to a proven system or soon.

It looks better than termig with carbon end can trim ,good contrast from the Titanium.
Performance-wise and sound ...don't know.
 
They released pictures at the end of Nov. They are all on the Akra website.

Think they are hoping to start deliveries in Feb / Mar. Lots of places taking preorders.
