Just curious if anyone here carries a firearm when riding. I have a permit/CC and periodically on longer rides will carry either inside with a shoulder holster , sometimes ankle and sometimes side pocket.

Again, I have a concealed carry permit so no flames please.;)

I have a concealed/carry permit too, but don't ride with it. I'd be tempted to discharge it way too often...

Never saw a need for it. If I did I wouldn't carry it on my torso due to the possibility of crash injuries.

I carry everywhere I go even on the bike. I have an backpack that has a cell phone holder on the strap. My 380 Sig fits perfect. I take out and put in ankle holster when I get off the bike.

Carry if I'm out of the house, IWB holster with a Beretta PX4 compact .40.

Notice the poor Australians won't chip in on carrying since they've been evicerated of their rights.

.....but they'll end up fighting alongside you when you really need them, witness WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq & Afghanistan.

I'm with you WAfatboy. I can't imagine living in a place where you have the need/desire/want to carry a fire arm just to go on a bike ride.

I happy to be a "poor" australian and ride my bike without the need for a fire arm.

Agreed . I used my horn today .....I'm a bad arse .

I know there's a different culture in the US but I've got to ask the question... WHY?!!!

Unless you are expecting to get into trouble what's the point. Surely it's going to be uncomfortable under leathers and I can't see it doing you any favours in the event of a crash. No criticism intended, just don't see the upside.

Paranoia.

Indeed.

It's funny because I get a little needled when people on other sites refer to this as the "US" forum. Sure its a dot-com, but is pretty international, unlike some other very country specific forums.

However, threads like this kinda make me think
