Anyone 'carry' when riding?

Sorry but crying laughing reading the rest of this thread, sanity returns, move on, nothing to see here!

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Just curious, when was the last time you needed it on a ride?! I've ridden parts of the US and never felt the need to 'carry'.

Probably best to put this one down to cultural differences i think! My last post on the topic.

only in America

the new panigale trackdayweapon gets a whole new meaning..

I think this is one of those "only in the US" threads. Our mates overseas won't see the need since the incidence of gun violence over there is so low. Here, practically everybody has a gun so you feel unprepared if you aren't armed to the teeth every time you leave the house. Whether or not the guns themselves are the issue is the question everybody over here is trying to answer, but nobody will ever be able to. It's like the chicken and the egg argument. If someone could wave a magic wand and make all the guns in the US disappear then we might see a serious reduction in gun violence. Since that is impossible, what we'll see are some asinine laws regarding the presence of pistol grips on rifles and bayonet lugs (lol) and probably some magazine capacity laws. Wha...

Oh crap, nevermind. I told myself I wouldn't wade into this thread.. :)

I carry when riding. I place on my waist, my holster is pretty snug so will not fall out.

Nope - sorry - never felt like I needed to "carry" when I ride back in CONUS.
Well, there was this one time at Sebring when an R1 kept trying to out brake me and running me wide.. :)

If gun violence is down overseas then why do the police still have guns over there. Also just because you disarm bad people doesn't mean crime will go down. The bad people will find a way to break the law or get there hands on a gun. If someone still wanted to do mass murder they could always take a four wheel drive HD truck and drive it through a crowd, you could easily do alot of damage with a 400hp 800+lbs tq truck. If you really think about it governments have killed more of there own people in the last 100 yrs then the entire time this nation has been around. I think governments need to be disarmed.

As a Class A, large capacity, LTC owner, I don't carry when riding but I do sometimes when I'm out on the town. We live in a crazy world. I'd rather be prepared for something, than not be. If it came down to it, I'd do EVERYTHING in my power to NOT use it but ya never know. In todays society with the screwed up laws we have over here in the US, I'd most likely go to jail even if I was the victim and I had to shoot someone.

Forget a gun. Real men carry rockets.

No, I don't carry, but certainly don't have a problem with people that do as long as they have permits. It's the idiots that don't have proper training with firearms that concern me.

Couldn't agree more. Better to be a criminal in MA. Well, Massachusetts Politicians discovered that many decades ago. They get away with stealing from the taxpayer all the time.

Great, now that I know that, I'll have bring my Beretta along next time we ride together, so I can defend myself when you get pissed off cuz I pass you - or we end up in East STL :D

Taaaaxachusettes. Don't even get me started haha. I paid 30K out of my paycheck last year and I'll still owe the state more.

I only carry because I work in a bad area of town and I carry large amounts of cash from time to time. But I do carry all the time if I am on my bike or in my car.
