wheels are heavier ill take a .... before i ride bike that will keep weight down
only thing that sucks bout a Tri purchase is the S coming out first when you spent more money.....2nd thing is when the R model is released
Des is the true separation of the S n Base....not no Dam 5lb wheels haha....cant be serious
Was told the base is the lightest of all three models. Apparently the weight of the LED ballasts and the ABS make up for more than the difference of the wheels. The Marzocchi forks are also said to be top notch.
Exactly that....and whether it makes enough of a difference to justify the additional cost (along with the other bits and pieces) is down to personal judgement, likely use and of course budget. Time will tell. The wet weight is listed as the same. But the point is that the unsprung weight of the wheels will still make a significant difference.

LOL... whoever told you that doesn't know much about lights
LED lights are nothing more than diodes, darn goods ones, but they're still just diodes. Unlike HID lights, they do not need a "ballast" to fire up.
They do have a relatively narrow tolerance to heat, like all diodes, so will most likely need a fairly good heatsink for each light. Perhaps this is what your source is referring to.
Btw.. I didn't think the S came std with ABS.
I have handled both headlights and the "S" LED one is considerably heavier than the standard version
... and personal skill and possibilities to ride out these advantages.
i guess us base riders will have to compensate higher unsprung mass and rotatory braking moment by pure madness
