This is the part that concerns me. My dealer is a brand new Duc dealer and although I threw down my deposit early November, I didn't get my "congratulations" email till late January. I was under the assumption that this went out when Ducati received your deposit from the dealer. If true, my dealer was behind the others who placed their orders early Jan.

My dealer is also quite bad with communication and so I can only pray that I'm wrong on all accounts and that my unit will arrive sometime this month.
 
Its not going to be that hard....it just comes down to the first person doing it n then others will follow....im sure if u can install ur own termis...youll be able to do it....i have a retired ducati tech to do all my work for pennies tho....as far as the price...im still waiting for Ducati to upload them...when u type in the item number....it says item not found....im guessing in between 1000-1500 for the part since its a first in production piece....i dont care how much....still saving more money then the s model....but isnt that why we all went for the base anyway :D

Anyone drop another $2K on LEDs is an dumb (IMO)....you might as well get the S, you financing tha .... anyway.

Better off waiting 6 months and guys who are seriously gonna turn their S into race bikes will have LED FOR SALE ON EBAY !!!....$2K for some LEDs? are you kidding me?

...and thats my blunt opinion :cool:

I emailed the dealership in Charlotte, and they said it was possible and easy, and about $2,000. But others on here have said that their dealer told them the wiring harness was different, and it wasn't possible (that doesn't seem to pass the common sense test though in my mind - manufacturing efficiencies primarily).
I knew someone on here would be giving it a go as soon as it was possible, let me know how it works out.

The factory definitely say there is a different dashboard between the two models and that it is required for the led lights
 
@ducenzo.....ur r entitled to ur opinion.....by the way...im one of the few doing an all cash purchase....financing a bike is dumb to me.....thats for my house instead
 
@bolds....it has nothing to do with the dash....jus the mount n leds....dont worry..i can guarantee ill b the first to show everyone it can b done

Listen to this guy lol...dunno where you from but at my dealers most bikes are paid in full !! At our launch we had Desmo RRs and R models in the parking lot.

You sound like a dumb character saying you saving money buying a base yet you wanna get LEDs for $2 K...if you paying cash then get the S

i was at the dealer where my base panigale was. he was putting a termi slip-on on a "s"at that moment. it is not hard to put them on!

also the race map is very easy it's a small black usb that you put in the rear of the bike.
then on the dash it wil say upload (or load or whatever) and you have inserted the new mapping.

then your done.

and YES it is 186HP with just the cans. me dealer told me the hp is almost similar only the rpm range from the powerdelivery is different. offcourse you wil het Maybe 1 or2hp more but that's al.

i don't have a picture from the headlights yet but they are a little different than the S BUT it looks Sweet.

can't wait to put the HID's in there 8000k shining a little blue (beauty) :p
 
Just had a call from my dealer, he got chassis no from Duc and it should be here next week:D

Another week of sleepness nights:rolleyes:
 
@ducenzo n u sound like my dick n those guys that bought desmo rr dicks our in ur mouth also....wise man once told me never be excited by what others have if it isn't yours....now I know for sure ur financing talking like that....FYI I'm on my 4th duc....not brand new at all.....no need to save when u handle marketing for all of the PNC up n down the east coast....just smart with my money....so smart that I paid 2600 for full termis n also I'll probably get the LEDs discounted as well....most wealthy people get to where they are because they r good with their money....otherwise ull end up like Mike Tyson lol....that is ur lesson for the day

I don't have to give you my credentials or seek your approval, either way your still dumb...

Being a Ducatista I'd go over and admire any Duc I see parked up, that's not dick riding the owner...that's appreciating a fine masterpiece.

And listen to you, you do sound brand new, new to money...if that.

I have to agree with ducenzo on this one - 2K for LED headlights is plain stupid. And I don't think he paid for school either judging by his grammar.

MO teaming up lol...dick riding is a thing for y'all out there lol..it's cool.....I didn't want to come at u like that...u made me do it lol....I can guarantee u once I put the LEDs in there will be a lot of people asking for a write up....but I guess they r all idiots too right...n what does school or class have anything to do with it...if ur broke ur broke....if u got money...that's what it is....both y'all lames...I won't waste my time on u anymore tho...by the way....check n see how much LEDs cost for n Audi n get back to me....since u think 2k is a lot

aight bro, enough bitchin...no one said putting LEDs was stupid, just that its retarded buying a base model to save money (according to you) then dropping $2K on LEDs lol...

I've never owned an Audi and I love Ducs, but their new LEDs dont compare to Audis quality of using em 10/15 yrs

"you can pay for school buy you cant buy class" is refering to your lack of humbleness...I'd put LEDs on my STD too and probably will if possible (not for $2k) and even a lot more up grades (had $15K upgrades on my 999)...but you'd never hear me braggin I can afford it

by the way, IM FROM BROOKLYN SON, 718 Crown Heights !!!..it aint where you from, its where you at...im out here making that $$$$.
