Anyone tell what this random cutout is?

That's interesting. I haven't had any issues with any of the rider aids. Maybe it's a red herring, and the problem is a coil?

The bike did fully cutout, but tyre calibration may have solved this, and maybe the P0919 was related to that?

p0919 should only become active with the OEM EU calibration. Is that what you are still running ?

I can see how the electronics can get confuzzled when gearing gets away from stock. ECU probably has a final gear ratio range that it probably compares to wheel speed and the various other sensors to trigger the electronic aids

What d'you mean by 'OEM EU calibration'?

It has the EVO3 ecu upgrade and 2023 electronics update. And, then Woolich reflash.

EVO3 is BBS and Dash update. Unless you have an Akrapovic exhaust from Ducati Performance the ECU calibration will stay unchanged. The Woolworth flash is likely based on the OEM calibration and does not have the P0919 disabled.

If it would be just one bad coil, the cut should not feel that harsh.

Intermittent issues like your will be hard to trace when the bike is in the shop. I highly recommended a datalogging system. It will allow you to get a point in the right direction.

It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, knowing you're thinking of me 🥰😘

you reap what you sow........ you are running some wild gearing combinations away from std......and not giving it a chance, no wonder the bike is blowing its mind...still, when all else fails read the manual.

Oh and I would step away from the woolich, Daniels tune and set up is far superior, easier to use, more confidence in it working, and as he has discussed its actually getting to the parts way beyond what woolich don't understand!

I just heard yesterday that the -23 software does not support tire calibration!?,( I have done it on mine without any issues, its a -22 with -23 software). Could it be the calibration issue?

That's interesting. I'm in the same boat, 22 with 23 electronics. I did the tyre calibration, it maybe helped with a separate issue 😬🤣

where and who from said that? I also have 22 with 23 software update........and that does, plus it has the shortcut to it through the evo 3...

Was a guy at the track, he had heard it from a guy who is competing and had to use another bike before its sorted. But as said I "heard it" so not the real source. And as said it works fine for me as well. He had a -23 bike.

I can’t imagine the QS causing a shut off like that. It’s almost like something is happening at a specific rpm or fueling rate or afr or something that’s triggering an electronic nanny that’s shutting it down.

Rick I’ll shill for Deussen a bit, I had Woolich on mine and switched to Deussen’s tune and it’s much better.

The Woolich should let you do some logging though to see what’s happening to some extent when it’s shutting down.

I’m not nearly as knowledgeable as half of you on the tech details of these bikes. But I’ve modified mine a lot and worked through some gremlins, the codes these bikes pop tend to misdirect you and send you down some rabbit holes, only to find out later that the most obvious thing was the issue. Like if the QS stops working, it might actually just be a broken QS lol

If the bike is cutting out at a specific set of revs or load on the bike the obvious things would be a fueling or spark issue. I’d look there before anything else regardless of what codes are showing.

Cheers Steven. Yes, I've got a few bits to check first. I don't feel it's a full cut, like a QS cut, so, potentially a coil. On track Wed, so will see 👌
Although, first I have to replicate the problem too 🤔

Just to add in, my bike had a code of something like "High Missfire" when a coil and plugs where bad.

Make sure the bolts which hold the coils on are tight. I don't think the rear one can fully back out due to how close they are to the tank, but the front can and I've found one of them in my belly pan before.
