Aprilia RSV4R Factory versus 1199

do you think the CW pipe hurts overall performance due to lack of back pressure? i actually prefer it over the AR, assuming you can order one without that logo plate riveted on -- i'm sure you can, right?

Not sure on the logo..you'd have to ask. I actually thought the carbon insert and logo look pretty good. They make real nice stuff..great quality. I had ordered one for my diavel and had it..but never put it on before selling unfortunately. It didn't hurt the performance on the RSV4 at all..improved it..but not sure on other bikes.

Looks are subjective of course, but that does NOT look better than stock in my opinion:eek: I think I would go Akra if I owned the Ape. Love the bike though!

Yeah well we know you're an exhaust system Troll..:D

But seriously I tend to agree with you.. I think the Ape suits a more angular chiseled pipe..Not dissimilar to the stock but shorter... and louder..:p

Completely unfounded rumor:D I recommended a certain option on the Termi DB Killer thread!!

I bet that is looooouuuuuddddd....

For me, this almost made me choose the RSV4 instead of the Pani, except DNA's incentives on leftover 2012's were too strong:

Sound is a major component of the riding experience for me, I even bought a Crossplane R1 just because of what it sounded like with a Graves full exhaust.

I posted this video in my introduction post, but since the topic of sound came up, I thought it might be relevant here. The Crossplane howl at Daytona is one thing I miss - looking forward to re-making this video on the Pani:

Isnt it weird how the R1 sounds like a V4... I do not understand that Crossplane stuff at all but the R1 does sound really sweet..But Its kinda ugly and heavy so whilst I have no beef with it I am still in the Rsv4r vs 1199 situation... :)

Just skimmed through your 60 posts, and a majority of them are you crying about something someone said on an a free internet forum. But yeah, I'm the 10 year old girl. Do you have any insights to add to anything...or just complaints?

Just proves my point, you have time to go through somebodys posts to make a comment. Luckily I have better things to do than that.

Anyhow, this is a good thread (mostly). I am also interested in the RSV4R and there has been a lot of good info on this thread. Hopefully more RSV4R riders post comparison to the Pani. I4, 2 x V2 and V4 in my garage this summer. That is the plan and that is why I follow this thread.

Took about 30 seconds. I did see you said you were leaving at least once.

I would bet the '14 R1 will see a major overhaul. Internet rumors of it being a three-cylinder are interesting for sure. It's definitely overweight and underpowered in it's current stock form. Does OK at the racing levels though!

2014 may be worth waiting for then... :)

It looks like post count is important for some members. My experience with bike forums is that the higher the post count the wider the chicken strips are.

I just look for Pani info here and get fed up with the useless BS on every thread. But this is internet so it is quite normal you have to go through a lot of rubbish to get the info you need.

Please bring something positive.. This whingeing does nothing....

But to YoungR you make a good point,, trading now is looking like a lost cause but next yr I can contemplate it... My bike will have very low mileage;)

Another valuable contribution. So glad you're here. You make this a better place.

STW and TTKARP, you bring a lot of valuable contribution to this forum. Thank you for that. Maybe you can now thank each other for your informative posts?. Or have a hug? Or post a smiley after each others posts?:)

Test riding an RSV4 at the dealer on Wednesday. Very interested to see the difference after tracking my Pani several times.
