WAf looks fantastic! (I agree re: AR sticker ;) )

AR really looks amazing on the Pani!

PS WAf so the INCONEL is giving off similar levels of heat?

Ha jokes apart, if anything it feels hotter under the seat, with heat radiating quickly once the bike is at running temp. It was bearable but gonna keep an eye on the plastics under the seat just in case.

The heat feels less 'inner thigh' and more 'outside thigh, hard to explain but it feels like the heat is radiating out further. Must keep track of the engine temp in traffic because I didn't yesterday, perhaps there was less heat off the engine?

Worth noting though It was cool in Perth yesterday, 23C, some ten degrees cooler than the average temperature we've had for the last 4 months. I actually think this made the heat more noticeable.

I have never found heat a problem previously, and this isn't a problem now but I would be more comfortable with a shield I think, if only to protect the bike.

I'm feeling the same way so far, with very limited riding time with this AR exhaust and with the temps being lower at this time of year the heat is not that bad but It is noticeably hotter than the stock system with the cover.

Also, the rear loop sits right under the plastics and I'm concerned they will get damaged during a long ride on a hot day.

I'd be interested to see what type of cover AR knock up and I'm sure others will be wanting one given how many complain about the heat of the stock system.

not good re: heat. is certainly potential deal-breaker due to heat and claims of quite expensive upcharge of INCONEL material.

if Rich could kindly chime in on this.....would be greatly appreciated....

...and if he does I hope its done with info not insult or innuendo :D

This thread has had some talk about "Rear wheel HP" and "Crankshaft HP"

Just because it is the wheel that connects the bike to the dyno does not make it rear wheel horsepower.
Anyone who has the time should read this article about the DynoJet dyno.
http://www.factorypro.com/magazine/Sports%20car%20International%20magazine/Making_hot_rodding_Honest,1-5wNOTES.pdf

The Dynojet fudge factor is the reason all other dyno's have an option to show DJ HP, without this the dyno's that measure the real HP will always show a low number.

Jeez you guys just won't let it go will you? lol

Really?? I think that's a perfectly reasonable request... No?? He has been asked a great question... I added that I would want him to answer it and not frame it as Trolling... I don't get how people who question numbers and the validity of claims are "trolls who should be banned" ....

I should point out that I have have the stainless version NOT inconnel.

And that the heat, even though I think it is slightly hotter (perhaps perceived due to it just radiating differently) does not bother me at the moment.

A super hot day will be the deciding factor regarding my tolerance so I'll keep you posted in due course.

For now my only concern is the plastic under the tail near the rear loop.
Although it has been fine so far and I'm sure AR would have made adjustments if necessary.

What made you go with stainless, just cost?

Was it expected that the stainless would offer lower heat levels? Seems like that should come with a heat shield automatically since it's same basic material as stock, right?

Well I think a free flowing system will perform better with regard to heat dispersion.

TBH, It doesn't bother me.
Rich has always said he would make one if needed and right now I don't feel like I need it.

I heard from Rich that the AR shield is about 4 weeks out. I plan on running it.
