Now that's he's gone...anyone have an opinion on the best exhaust for my Ducati 1199 Panigale?

I have the Termi slips... they sound great and get rid of that silly flapper thing and I love 'em... Power gains?? Who knows but probably minimal/zero.. The Akra looks like a great system but looks too similar to the Oem..Imho.. CW is fugly.... So I think given the price..looks. sound the Termi slips get my vote... Bike rocks as it is.. and no pipe will help me beat S1000's so I let that one go a while back..lol

Lol... Well I think I need too.. dont you?? I mean my bad really for even questioning the veracity of AR's results..

Wellll....you do have this as part of your defense: For our international friends, this is the first amendment to the US constitution. It doesn't specifically state it, but I'm almost positive that "asking questions on the Internet" is included.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

What do you consider criteria for the best? Lightest = AR. Meanest = AR. Most racebike sounding = AR. Most attractive (subjective I know) = AR. Best power band = jury's still out.

Let things play out and we'll have answers...

Most Hyped =AR...

So its 10.41pm and I'm tucked up in a swag at the track, just fired up the iPad and laughing my arse off at this thread :D

Rich, chill out, let this run its course. Legal action?? Seriously? Wasting your money and frankly I've got a much better case with the advertising standards authority of the UK ASA - Advertising Standards Authority if anyone's going legal on this.

I rode the bike down to the track today and it sounds insane, rip roaringly evil. The tune has made a massive difference so although I only have +3hp the bike is transformed.

WAf...

I'm completely sitting on the fence on this now as I'm not prepared to get into any legal schitt but did you buy the exhaust directly from AR?

More importantly, sounds like you're happy with what's on there now.

Pleased to hear it..!.. ( pun intended..!)

.

Are there cliff notes on this thread?? I have the attention span of a dust mite and will never be able to get thru the whole thing.
Thank you for your co-operation.

Rich: I can prove to you that Gavin D does NOT work for any of your exhaust competitors. How can I be so sure? While the man certainly is clever enough to look up the definition of "straight" in the dictionary, he does not comprehend what a straight pipe is for motorcycle application.

Having typed that, I can also add that you have no legal case against Gavin D based on slander or any other charge(s), given the nature of both this thread and forum.

It's rather unfortunate that Rich and Austin Racing, which generally and consistently introduce excellent products into the marketplace, have allowed themselves to stoop this low on a forum. I think the majority of us, myself included, have been rooting for WAf to get his results and for AR to emerge as the exhaust winner.

Yep I bought it direct.

My issues with actual performance vs claimed performance outlined many times but most recently in post #597, remain unresolved.

Waf... as always... you handle this with style and grace... Great job man.. you have my utmost admiration for your never ending patience and willingness to go as far as you have...

I don't think anyone here isn't rooting for WAF. And I couldn't care less about an exhaust winner. I just want people to get what they pay for, performance claims included which has been my reason for being annoyingly persistent and consistent throughout this debacle.

A heart-felt +1

Not only do you need a 150mph fan, you must reside in the UK to get results. A country specific exhaust, go figure. And if you complain about it, they'll sue you.

I hope you do get what you want.

As a potential buyer myself, I want to see you get what you want and I'm sure you will.

Like you said, Chill. A sharp intake from all sides would be beneficial.

For me, Year Ones bike looks the dogs danglies and from the sound clips I've heard, the whole thing sounds wicked.!

When you get her on track, get some ride bye clips if you can and share.
