AR Inconel Install

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :)

It doesn't look that bad though and I can see the entire length of the pipe. I do also have this to add. This mofo is HOT! The heat radiating from the loop hurts. It doesn't heat your butt but on the outer portion of your thighs. The heat was irritating me so much I didn't feel the heat from the rear cylinder head. Today's weather was 60-68F and if I was going at least 60+ and had temps around 170F or below I didn't feel it. City riding is not fun. Sitting in traffic I had to put my toes on the right peg and lift of my thigh so I couldn't feel it so much.

Not sure if I remember him saying the Full Termi heat shield fit it? But a heat shield is definitely needed and I let him know that.

Dude .. I am using AR's definition... Your doing great as far as I am concerned... This is great info... Where's Rich??

awesome! thanks for clarifying ;)

so inconel will burn your fairing, but for a few minutes less upon shutting off engine! okay so uh........

Read my previous post heh. Inconel cools down really fast I'll give it that but run cool? Nope. I'd say if it had a heat shield it'd be on par with stock heat.

with all the collective time and energy wasted on this thread, enjoyable as it's been, i think we're now prepared, and better served, to design and market our very own STRAIGHT PIPE SOLUTION! Seriously, like i posted while back, the Pani NEEDS BACKPRESSURE!

The original claim was less heat with Inconel then stainless. Which is totally untrue, it just cools off faster because it doesn't retain as much heat, that is one of the reasons it is good as an exhaust pipe. AR did say they would supply a heat shield if ncessary (ha), but remember, there are no mounting holes, so I am not sure how they will attach it to the bike

They said they could attach the heat shield to the frame in that area.

So, has anyone actually weighed the system? It is still lighter than the competition right? That may be the last of the claims still intact!

Aside from the melted fairings,it does look good though.

This is now the second longest thread on the 1199 forum. The only one longer is the Panigale Picture Thread!!

That is purposeful, it becomes one with your bike!! Not melted fairing, fairing meld! :D

Yeah it would... But how would they possibly begin to refute anything????

I don't know - the whole thing really sucks. I am trying to think of the best way he could have handled it. I really can't believe be fabricated the numbers. But looking back, what could he have said and not said, to stop all this. Maybe something like this:

"There will be an improvement from stock, we were able to get x%, but it was with this bike, using x map, RB, etc. We will ceratinly help you get the most out of your bike, as it is difficult to tune" Not mentioning Termi at all, even though people would have be crying for that constantly.

But that general staement about low to mid 180s w/o tuning, again should have said that bike, but that will be the hardest one for them to swallow I think. Just a shame.

Agreed... But I think he lost the crowd when he made mention of possible litigation...

Trauma

Was not going to post again in this thread but in answer to your questions.

you seem like a level headed kind of guy with a strong and some times controversial opinion.

Do you honestly think we would or even could falsify dyno results! no. What would the point be? AR has a great and honest reputation, why would we jeopardise that!

What amazes me is that a few amongst you are conveniently blind to other dyno results such as Copiya's that substantiate our results. Why some choose to ignore these seems to me to just show the fact they have got it in for AR and what ever i say falls on deaf ears.

We will post up a batch of results from other bikes in a new thread but again I'm sure some will simply say we falsified them.

To clarify we never once slated another manufacturer we simply showed you our like for like test results, if any think otherwise then you are simply wrong and need to read all the threads and posts to make it clear to you.

Regarding legal implications of some posts, why should a member get away with posting utter lies and attempting to blacken the name of AR? the fact is it is wrong and as such we will do everything within our power to protect our good name.

Again, thankyou for all the PM support from all the level headed members that DO, read the threads and posts from start to finish so they have the correct informed facts.

Appears to me that you've done a pretty good job of blackening your own name Rich!

LOL

Welcome back Rich! Since you ARE following along, and speaking of correct informed facts, why not address some if the questions that are floating around out there? Heat, Fully tuned Termi system comparisons, RB issues? I don't think threatening lawsuits, absolute denials, and blaming everyone/everything else has worked that well to address the concerns that exist.

Surely, even the mysterious PM fan club would admit that there is enough evidence reported here by those who DO have your product to warrant an honest explanation? Thanks for all of the PM support from the truth seeking members here who can read.
