AR Inconel Install

I will be interested to hear the results. I was planning on getting the AR system and have been telling others how great their exhaust is on ANY bike compared to other pipes, but now I don't know what to think. I sure hope AR can work things out or send a tuner to help WAfatboy out to make things right here. Seems a bit of cheating is happening. If this works out, AR will have a good reputation going, if it doesn't you can guarantee my money will not be spent on a product that cannot prove itself. I find TRUST in a company to be the most significant factor.

Strange, I just got the full Termi system and paid way less than that. Some dealers have had them in stock for a while and will sell at near their cost just to move inventory. Sent it out to get ceramic coated and then it will be installed by the dealer, still paying less than retail for it all. Also got the upgraded carbon fibre heat shield at no charge and I keep my warrenty.

Yes i was referring to retail.

I just installed the rapid bike module with the AR exhaust.

The bike is now un rideable due to what appears to be a serious starving issue.

Rich has always been great to deal with and has asked me to connect to the software and switch off adaptive mapping as the first step and hopefully last.

Hope that fixes things, will post back later this arvo.

This was a little disappointing as I thought the module came ready to plug in and already mapped for the AR exhaust.

Also, I rang just about every tuner in Sydney and know one is willing to do a tune for me with the RB. Hope this setting fixes things so I won't need to tune it, we have no local support here.

Seriously tell me more!!

Copiya,

I've just told Wayne (Tuneboy) about your post and hes going to contact you. He has his own Dyno and is in Sydney. If he cant fix your bike, I'll buy you a beer or two...

I'm a big fan of CaliDuc, he has a wealth of knowledge and i value his opinion greatly. However, flames from AR fanboys are not the same as flames from Rich at AR. I don't have an AR system nor do i plan on purchasing one in the near future as my Termi slips are perfectly fine. But i applaud AR for being the only exhaust manufacturer to post on this forum and allowing us to not only provide feedback before the system went into production, but allowed us to ask questions and get meaningful responses. How many times has Termi or AK posted on this forum looking for feedback and offering sneak peaks at their systems? How many times have they posted test results and dyno runs? Just say'n.

Maybe we can meet there and compare Dyno figures, same environment different exhausts, would be good to compare.

Be sure to have those fans blowing at 140mph:rolleyes:

Its funny you should say that. Wayne has the biggest fan mounted in front of his Dyno. It has a variable speed switch on it so the bike doesn't get below operating temp between runs. He's fussy about Dyno numbers so he likes the bike temp to be relatively stable. One of the reasons I dont mind him playing with my bike on the Dyno ;)

A word to all those wanting to sell a product and spruke of its gains and performance!

Under promise and over deliver it's the only way to go. Start cutting down tall poppies for your own advantage and expect to be ridiculed for failing!

I would love to join in the Panigale gang bang in Sydney to test multiple bikes with varying KLM"s and system specs to get a good base line answer for the world to see!

If it can happen please post a date with some notice because I will bring my tri and full DP system to join the party. Just need a few days off to do the return trip. :D

Shame I'm so bloody far away!

AND I THINK YOU SHOULD. JUST HAD A CONVERSATION WITH THE MOST EXPERIENCED TUNER IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA AND IT WAS A REVELATION. More shortly.

Where to start?

So just got off the phone from Todd Patterson at BunburyDyno and the conversation was enlightening. He is widely acknowledged as the leading Ducati tuning specialist in WA and has a wider reputation than that.

One thing to mention is that his Dyno room has a massive fan driving air straight at the bike, and the dyno room isn't a vacuum.

We started off by talking about what sort of numbers they made in their 1199's. OMG!

His numbers look like this:

Stock 1199 - 186hp at RW
Full Termis - 194hp at RW

So even higher than Rich's results!

He was also very clear that the first up-map that the Termis were released with killed the power. The same bike that did 194hp with the standard map did only 165hp with full Termis with the original Upmap - so this is consistent with Rich's experience and the source of some criticism on this forum.

By coincidence, and showing what a tight community this is, he had just come off the phone to Jsutin at ProTwin and they had been discussing my bike. We have agreed that once Justin and Tuneboy have done their thing then I'm going to take the bike down to him and he'll dyno the .... out of it - so actually our target is now 194hp!!!!!

The upshot of this conversation in my eyes is that Rich and AR's claims for the numbers of their own system look totally credible, and I look forward to reporting again from the Bunbury Dyno after ProTwin have done their good work.

I promise to try and make this happen as soon as possible because the Termi vs AR battle is now on :D

This is very interesting, i have always been of the school that dyno is used as a tuning tool, rather than to show numbers.

186hp is crazy for stock seeing as mine only did 166 at pro twin. Justin didn't like my results and after we had it dyno got on the phone with some of his people in italy and they all said the same thing you show remove the rear sensor on the wheel.

Still 20hp is alot, i would say either one dyno is reading higher or one is reading lower ;)
