I have bought from them.

I think they have a great product

I think they have great customer service

If someone bought from me and went on line and started bitching rather than dealing with me about it in private I would be pissed too. Now all you guys keep ruining each and every thread all because of a matter that should have been handled privately.

Lastly, I keep saying it, but Rich tried to move on multiple times and you guys won't allow it. You guys just keep wanting to fuel the fire. I'm just fed up with it...

And Rich is not Burnsy. A lot of people like AR. If Rich tries to bury the hatchet and someone who likes AR makes a comment about you guys...it's not really Rich's fault.

I mean seriously it's clear as day....but you guys just get your jollies off of continuing to ruin his reputation. I think that is ...... up and shows little maturity and just how petty and sad a lot of people here really are. Especially since none of the complainers (except for the original poster) are even a customer. GROW UP.
 
gnance, i think no one here ever had a real intent to ruin someones reputation.

AR started out with his development thread and words like "outperform" and so on. fine until then. but moving on public ground means facing publicity. and he put himself into it. so all he got was the echo coming back, just that it was a tad louder.

we're in 2013. the interweb makes everything transparent. if you have something to hide, better stay off it.

this is my personal opinion, i still like the exhaust, looks and sound, performance, maybe. but i am a cheap ass and would never spend a couple grand on some bent pipes...

cheerios.

edit: it's all bits and bytes BTW

I have no beef with you. I am all for people expressing their opinions. But I have to disagree, some of these folks are out to destroy reputations. That is just wrong.

He destoyed what little if any reputation he had himself. Obviously you feel the same or would buy it.

The part I disagree with is that he ruined his own name with how he handled all this. I was literally just reading an article about what a mistake it was for Tesla's CEO to come out publicly on their blog against the NY Times article claiming Tesla's Model S didn't do what it claimed. Personally, I agree with Tesla, they had facts showing the NY Times author actually lied, so why not show them? Well, it turned into a bad publicity nightmare for Tesla and is now being taught in businesss schools about the right and wrong way to handle PR. Point of all that is, Rich would have been WAY better off not posting here and calling people names and getting caught providing misinformation etc. This is not only why Termi, Akra, or any other exhaust company isn't posting and arguing here, but why any large company doesn't even allow its employees to make blog or forum posts that represent the company. This is because time and again it has been proven to go this way, and why most companies stick to making "news updates" or FAQs on their own websites, or employ proffessional PR people to handle "blogs".

me neither. i have no beef with anyone, and if i had i wouldn't care. but you have to keep in mind that it is about opinions here, and everybody on this board should know that by now. and the ones who are not pleased with it, should just leave instead of asking others to leave. and i don't want to say that you should draw your conclusions of that. it is just that users come and go... ;)


a manufacturer here can stay and keep his reputation. i would advise you to go through all AR threads and put your focus on all the back and forth with rich's arguments... no attack from my side, just an observation...

I guess that's part of my whole point about running a business... You can't be ignorant regarding once you say something on the internet, it's there forever. And some people are not willing to forgive and forget. Is that fair? maybe not, but the world isn't a fair place.

And yes, he did try to bury the hatchet, and I give him props for that. Burnsy is the one that sent that thread spiraling into hell with the second post.

Whoa whoa whoa, I never jumped in on the rich bashing. I actually missed the whole thing in training as I am thoroughly confused. Ie who the .... is Burnsy?

just wait till this AR pipe blows apart in short order [just like the Aprilia one's did] with those welds and thin material. you think the bracket breaking was bad...and then of course Rich will blame you the customer and/or the installer.

if WAf tuned the full Termi ad nauseam like he did the AR he'd have similar result and saved a pile of money and grief.
