Thank you (yes, I did just type that) ;) ......but,

posting of threads where they don't belong is something that common sense should preclude one from doing. I don't agree that one should post a thread "wherever they want" because if they did, the forum would quickly turn into a mis-placed thread cesspool, and I'm pretty sure that not many here want that (well, on second thought). There is a reason for why sub-forums exist, why some have such difficulty in starting threads in the respective categories is beyond me.

Isn't there at least one mod here?

Your are very correct, but, I am just saying post where you want, because they will anyway, and we are not being modded. So it just creates conflicts if you complain where a post is. Duc has occasionally moved ones that are reported, but he doesn't have time to monitor this forum - he is only here every 2-3 days, and hasn't been here since 6/6.

I like ducati.ms, but there is no Pani information in the superbike section and their "sister site" is terrible, IMO. That was a tactical blunder on the part of the site owners, IMHO. They could have had a subsection or even Panigale content in their superbike section and captured a large share of the online Panigale forum folks since a lot of people were already on .ms because of other Ducatis they own. The sister site concept killed it completely. Now you have no Pani folks in the superbikes section and the sister site is a wasteland. Just my 2 cents. It's worth exactly what you paid for it! :)

Agreed....i've addressed the situation with some of the moderators there, unfortunately they're just that. Most everyone there agrees with the point you make above, and I think that with time the number of Panigale related threads will improve. Chicken/egg type thing.....

I totally agree. I made the same mistake with a forum once and the "spin off" site died a horrible death and all my users flocked to another site. Live and learn. These things work the same whether you are talking about motorcycles, guns, home improvement or smartphones. :)

You can't say "...." over there:(

...or Aprilias...:D

I am guilty of dingleberrying that thread. :)

Come on though, someone in another thread the other day said the MV looked like a "fancy gixxer". If the MV looks like a gixxer then the Ape is a 'busa.

OMG, I guess that means you will be dying soon, RIP!

I was actually going to pass you your cup of Koolaid first. Trust me, I'll drink last. I just want to make sure the comet is coming before I commit.

We're not helping by continuing to discuss this here. I've started a new "Dingleberries Suicide Pact" thread so that we might further discuss this issue without further disrupting Rich's thread. You can find it at http://ducati1199.com/lounge/12728-dingleberry-suicide-pact.html#post97281

You have your own thread now, can you please stop poisoning this one? FYI, word count doesn't make a better post, just more of a poor one. :)

Hey Stw - great news! Cloner is ignoring us now ( ;) ) - (he should have done that in the first place but he wanted to do the "big speech" first). And he called us gentlemen! I wouldn't dare call him that, but then I'm not into name calling.

I think he has more than proven that using big words does not equate to having class.

how different is this than name calling? the posts provoke, poke, incite, and the like..

it's the same thing over and over and over and over and over....

and being the number one and two post contributors in threads like this, more times than not it seems, and from the get go.....why is that?

i suggested to DUC, as there are no mods, that each thread starter can be the MOD of his own thread.

the threads should be categorized as "nazi" (full moderation, banning some from the tread, etc.), open (slight moderation) and "woodstock" (no modding).

by this, each user could decide if he wants to participate, might risk to get banned for inappropriate behavior, or just stay off, if he can't hold his .... back, just go in "woodstock" threads..

was never implemented...

Without actually counting, I'd guess you've posted in this one more times than I. Do you disagree with my comment you quoted?

Cannot say I think that system is at all viable or preferable... But I would hope that would agree that inappropriate behaviour would be defined as "wishing forum members dead"???

as long as you wish and express it here it is only a lot of ...
