Yup, 1x98 was always a bit of a fat arse :p

Look how high the mirrors also appear - may actually be useable

Yep you have that right.....you can finally see more than your armpits:D

I was suprised how out of place they dont look and actually suit the bike.

I am sure there is going to be a lot of 1198's on the market when more of the Panigale hit the streets.....check out the different lines on the Pani, the 1198 looks outdated now.

Ducati Dealer in Melbourne?

Can anyone suggested another dealer besides Fraser's in Melbourne?

Have been in twice, once walked in and looked around for 20mins with no staff coming near me!
Went in last week to put a deposit down and there was no one on the floor at all. Walked around for 5 mins and saw a woman in the office who looked at me then just went back to whatever she was doing. A tech came out from the back, looked at me walked in the office with the lady talked for 2 mins then walked back out and into the back garage without saying anything!! In 10mins no-one came out or even approached me! And I had a shower that morning.

Why the f*ck would I want to give them my $40,000+ for a Tricolor? Ducati, take the rights away and give them to someone who wants to provide customer service, not someone who's attitude is "if you want a Ducati, you have nowhere else to go!" .:mad:

Yeah know the feeling, however I find it's the same with all motorcycle dealers. They just don't seem to give a .... about anything. I remember getting a motorcycle last year with my mate. We're both going around to places with cash burning a hole in our pockets looking for a new bike, service was crap everywhere.

Same thing happened to me. The only two choices you have is Frasers in the city or Metro in Ringwood. I personally went with Metro.

I dont think I would say all motorcycle dealers......I know V-Twin at Coffs have a very good report and I would back Desmo Headquarters at Byron Bay anytime.
Maybe in big cities it might be different as I am sure they have tyre kickers coming in 24/7.

Sounds like with rapc24 they had a Panigale at the back:D

You've always got tire kickers coming in, but they build up the imagination of the brand and gives the place a vibe. Look at apple stores... tyre kickers all over the place, doesn't mean worse customer service.

In my experience you find a lot of .... however there are some people you do meet that absolutely love their bikes and do a great job of giving you info on the bike and actually selling it you. I find better to have a rapport with the service guys and they're typically a lot better too. At the end of the day though...my view is; who gives a toss? sign the contract walk off and ride your bike, your not getting married to these guys.

Lol.....Yep that is the attitude.
I know that the crew up here are just one eyed Ducatisti and no other bike exists.....make life a whole lot easier:D. Well for me and other Ducatisti that is.
After seeing the bike now I just wish they would hurry up with delivery.....the guys head down for the Pani Tech course this week so they cant be to far away for some of us.

see my comment about Frasers earlier on in this thread. I think Frasers corporate policy says:

"Don't give a .... about people coming in. If they want a bike they will eventually come back".
