nope, not the Sicom, completely new material technology, stop great cold, stop even better hot.

having said that, I only have Sicom on the two front rotors, waited 9 months for the rear and still aren’t here.

Yes… that’s interesting, I just read the product description.

They don’t have a website though and endo’s rear brakes don’t work so that’s a big no no from me.

We’ll I wouldn’t go that far. I don’t use the rear. It’s on there because the bike needed a rear rotor and I reasoned to put the least amount of rotational weight and spung mass as I could so the Sicom was it. The rotor has been played with a couple of times but in all fairness, with Sicom and their pads as Steven eluded to they need to be properly introduced and they haven’t been. Looks like Sicom and Braketech are very different. My Braketech rotors needed nothing but a couple of slow down passes and they are amazing. The precision of the EVO calipers and the GP lever with these rotors are for me something I have never experienced and I have had pretty decent parts over the years.

I think they don’t work because the pads were not baked in properly, normal riding you will never get the pad material heat cycled properly for initial setup unless you follow their procedure

You guys should talk Endo into showing you his bike build,

There’s not another bike like that anywhere in the world for any price, and it’s a thing of beauty
Very kind words from a well respected individual. Honestly, I have shared the latest build with a few people who I felt would appreciate what I’m into which is somewhat of a departure from what most people are into. I don’t really have any desire to put it on the board in another “look at me” post but I do appreciate the kind words from the few who I have shared it with. If someone wants to see it, PM me but it’s staying off the forum.

Bruce Wayne, Last we spoke was December, is the bike not finished yet? I thought you had Sicom rotors on that thing. I ended up getting the xbob190/191 calipers and using the Z04 pads. The Braketech CMC rotors are IMO much closer to iron rotors than the Sicoms so the Sicoms are in a box. Hope to see the bike completed soon, looks epic

Yeah it was all together and did ride it but had another project that took a lot of my time and didn't get a chance to try the sicoms i stripped it down again Last week to fit swingarm and Motec will definitely test them one day

Where are you guys putting your res bottle?

we were looking at putting it right there where the new line runs.

good idea btw, we’ll get clearance of the old line around the frame with the fairings we are using, but I doubt we would if I ever want to put the Foggy livery fairings back on, so I’ll order the new tube/hose to have around
Did the radiator come with a lower oil cooler bracket? I think they were working on adding one, i made one for mine i will take a picture later today and show you

yes it did

We were looking at the CF shroud that came with it today, gunna have to trim that because the forks hit it created a very short lock to lock steering

yeah I was thinking about it after I posted that, I wouldn’t post your bike in a forum either, as inspiring as it is to see the work and craftsmanship put into it there are a few personal choices that make the bike perfect for how you want to enjoy it that you’d have knuckleheads looking right past the craftsmanship and critiquing your choices, and it would be annoying to have something you put that much work into critiqued by an overly opinionated idiot lol

Haha, Steven, I must apologise again!

I have a very dry sense of humour :D

Tbf, not many people get it, or like it. Meh.

xx

haha, you didn’t get mine either, must be in the genes, my 23 and me genetic test says I’m 93% British

I put ‘met’ in semi-quotation marks, because it’s a forum not a meetup

I said I never “met” an idiot from here lol

I met a few, but so far none have been idiots, but I don’t have a big enough data set to confirm none are idiots, some sure pretend to be if not haha

People are entitled to enjoy their motorcycle hobby any way they like, if they want to share it as Steven has so generously, then we all get something out of it.

The english have the best sense of humour, its quite natural to take the piss out of each other , Americans often don't get it then its handbags at dawn

Mine was trim to fit as well, took a few mount/demount cycles to get it trimmed just right.

Work or be around men who carry guns for a living. The amount of absolutely devastating scathing sarcasm won't be understood by those who don't. You could talk mad .... and fire jokes off but at the end of the day there's a respect.

This ^^ its a bit hard to translate onto the internet comments sections but in real like giving each other .... is a natural way of deflating egos. Give a bit take a bit and life goes on :)

IMA thumb brake installed with all the lines set, got rid of the rear reservoir, we also trimmed the H2O CF radiator shroud so that we could turn the forks lock to lock. They cut a little CF bracket for the electronic module for the H&M Quickshifter so it’s not just flopping around down there, or worse, getting against something to hot and causing a failure. Domino GP grips installed too. She’s getting close to done.

Questions, what’s the gold stuff for (besides the obvious) Is that red bleeder on the rear master aluminum? Your forks are done as far as adjustability on the trees? You will have electrical problems with that thing but not to worry, we’ll be neighbors by that time and I’ll fix it. Ducatis idea of an electrical system is Phyllis Diller’s idea of a hair style.

gold stuff is heat reflective tape for the brake lines, there’s no where to run the IMA Brake lines without going through some very hot areas on the bike, and as you know hot brake fluid is not a good thing….we tried to run the lines where they would at least get good airflow even though they have to run along the engine and frame.

I liked where the trail adjustments were on the IMA triple tree BEFORE we put the extended swing arm and linear link, we have to see if those same settings work well after we ride it with the new rear end geometries.

I honestly don’t know about those brake line fittings….was gunna take months to get custom length from Fren Tubo, so they used a local company that cuts brake lines for everything from race bikes to Harleys….I brought up not wanting to use ‘expandable’ brake lines and they said no worries, they can make them out of anything we spec…..so far they haven’t taken a shortcut on anything at the shop, so not worried about it.

now that we sorted out the routing and line lengths, and with easy to remove track fairings on the bike, won’t be hard to replace those lines with Fren Tubo down the road if these don’t perform well.

Did you guys find a house yet? If not, be patient, but look everyday at what pops up on the market, or have a good RA do so for you. In this area something cool and unique for SoCal pops up out of nowhere, then it’s gone.

I’ll try to get some more pics of the top end of the engine abs wiring harness now that they’ve removed all the smog stuff abs put the block off plates on, still looks like spaghetti compared to your bike, but it way less messy looking.
