so the answer was yes. Was that so hard?

no answer from me.... after all you are the einjuneear! Whats the internet say?

The internet says that you’re the thick ....? And I never said I was an engineer. I thought it was you that said you had “engineering accumen?”

The thing is if you had been around Ducati’s long enough obviously with the correct engineering acumen, you would have already experienced or experimented with a variety of items that will swap over from model to model To improve on the original spec!

The 916's (if you haven't looked lately) have Ducati with desmoquattro 916 underneath on the fairings. These are still desmoquattro's. Go by real fast.

I never said I didn’t know….and you even had to consult the internet to insult me!😂

Ok you injunears. I need to hang bags off the back of that Rade tank. Say 50 pounds. I can't cantilever that much weight off the plastic itself. So I'm assuming those mounting plates are aluminum. So if I weld a boss in the middle of the "y" of their rear mount and use their furthest rear mounting point as the second mounting point what should I use for spar material to support the bags. Needs to be 3/4 round at the end. I'm leaning towards just taking 3/4 steel tubing and putting the front end in a press to flatten it. Has to be clean looking though. Which means some grinding and welding. I think I can readily mount the tail lite on the seat cowl mounting points. The stock SF rear subframe weighs at least 12,000 lbs (steel no less). Did I mention the rade tank is calling my name.

I’d think you might be able to modify a MotoHolders or DBholders rear subframe as a kind of spar and drill a few holes in the RADE subframe and bracket the DBholders to it.

Just spitballing

Front half of the tank red. From where the seat begins black. Black bag mounts. Red seat cowl. Wonder how much paint prep these need?

Thanks I'll look.

These use the later Pani fairings. So the later SF side covers should work? I'm with you. If you sell your original tank etc. worse case you're even (at least prepaint).

Rade missed an opportunity to design something more like the Kramer (Roto Industries) subframe/tank for the V4. By including the front part of the tank, it’s not possible to change the seat height. Kramer has an eccentric bolt in the tank to allow you to easily increase the seat height so that you could make ergo and cg adjustments.

Yep I was thinking the same for paint, or just doing the top of the tank in red. Satin black on the black half.

Paint prep doesn’t look so bad…there are a few seams that need knocked down, then rough the whole thing with roughing pads. I will prep it myself and probably primer it.

From all the research I’ve done the best primer to use on PA11 Nylon is Rustoleum Plastic primer, once that’s set you can paint anything on top of that primer.
