1y into TechAir 10 ownership, and first under suit air bag system for me, used a Spidi vest prior.

First 6 months was frustrating just on the tech side, would only charge from the specific USB-C that came with it (WTF?), failed to connect to the app quite often, when it did connect it said there was an update, get to 2% completed then fail. Sent it back under warranty and got it back with the update done, took about 7 days turnaround, connects reliably to the app when plugged in, but still only charges with one specific cable/charge set up.

I can get the system worn and under my suit, on/off with no assistance, but my Alpinestar suit was a hair big on me then I lost a little weight which helps get the shoulders free.

If I had to do it again I would go for a system that zips into the suit, the vinyl bladder always being pressed to my chest is a bit much in hot weather. I’ll reward myself with that when I drop a full suit size, otherwise sticking with it.

@Steven31371 Did you get any pricing from the Vircos/Revit tech air compatible suits? A*s went bananas post covid, for what they are asking for their kangaroo suits custom can’t be far off.

EDIT: Just saw 2,899 euros…not bad

talk to me about brake feel after you put a proper master on...

You say that, and I can only take your word for it until OPP gets me my EVO (kinda annoying, I messaged them asking what the lead time is and they said they had it in stock ready to ship but a week later it still hasn’t shipped.) I believe you that it feels better than the Corsa Corta, that’s why I bought it. But I disagree with you from direct experience that the Corsa Corta is “no better than the OEM Brembo) that may be true from a build quality standpoint, but from a brake feel standpoint the Corsa Corta is MILES ahead of the stock OEM unit. The latter is so spongy it’s unusable for me.

I’m actually expecting a smaller gap between the EVO Radial and the 17RCS Corsa Corta than the gap between the Corsa Corta and the OEM unit…hopefully I’m surprised in a good way there.

I’m not gunna take the bike apart until the Kramer gets here, so my next track day will be on the V4…will get to try that MC out. Might put it on the Kramer too 😂😂😂

Here's the thing, master cylinders are not a choose your own adventure performance part. The RCS + RCS CC are offered as product that is an affordable upgrade from OEM but honestly the make is not better then oem and it just adds some knobs to twist... The first upgrade from oem should be the billet product: XR0.11.72 19x20 // XR0.11.71 19x18 // XR0.11.70 19x16 there is no 19x17 as I mentioned when @Steven31371 was discussing his master. OPP is one of those outfits that says they have everything in stock but it's BS because they don't shelf 2k masters. They just contact Race Technologies who is US BREMBO dist, and see if they have in stock - which often on the top end kit is 50/50. I just ordered a complete thumb brake setup and fortunately they had everything in stock but they said they didn't think they would have it.

Man not everybody has the same amount of disposable income, and whether the build quality is better or not, the RCS Corsa Corta stuff (possibly because of those knobs twist) is a night and day ‘affordable’ improvement over the OEM unit in actual usage.

On paper maybe they are the same quality and there is no significant difference on manufacturing quality, but in real life usage, completely different unit. It’s a VERY good lower cost improvements on the bike, I’d say bang for the buck one if the best upgrades you can do to the bike.

Sure there are much higher quality units with the associated price tag, and if it’s in your budget to get them do so…but it’s inaccurate to say that the RCS Corsa Corta stuff is no better than the OEM stuff, in my direct personal experience it’s miles better than OEM in actual use if not spec on paper.

The billet parts I mentioned above are $600 - that is really fair price for a considerable step in performance. The reasonable brake upgrade formula is:
+Remove ABS (on Ducatis not even necessary, all other bikes mandatory)
+Brake lines
+Brake pads
+Master
that's it.
Look at Pirros bike - oem calipers/no abs/$600 billet master/pads
On Pecco + Bez stockers they have GP spec masters (which is same tier as XA7G7D0)/forks have 108mm bottom to hold proper 108 calipers (not sure the part #, but not WSBK spec)/Z04s they will burn 3-4 sets in one day
Let's not forget that brake "feel" is subjective. So I can def say the RCS + RCS CC are no better then OEM because I have used them and that is my feeling. You can say they are way better because you too have used them and that is your feeling.

I never mean to come onto your thread and sound like a dick but I am always just communicating what my experiences have taught me riding these bikes that we love. And I have gone to the depths of all these rabbit holes of building bikes, and still do. I told myself I wasn't going to do anything to my bike this winter, yet here I am doing things that are not really necessary. But having had the V4R 19/20 + 23/24 let me know if you want any info and how to build it. It will be terse info like DO NOT PUT THAT PLASTIC TANK ON A STUNNING RACE BIKE hahahahah but setup wise I have a good grasp on it.

I have resisisted the whole 17 RCS upgrade because I know of at least 2 people who have said that they don't feel any improvement over stock, so I am inclined to think that, when bled properly, the standard cylinder is OK. Good, but not great.

But the Pirro setup is using the 19 mm bore, which, popular wisdom says, gives a wooden feel. Does the x16, x17, x18 lever ratio help to mitigate this?
I would love a billet cylinder, but on a bike with ABS and standard Stylemas, track only, would a 19 mm be OK if I wanted a firmer lever, better fl and more consistency?

ive got the 17 RCS having had the 19 RCS. I use Z04 pads in the st callipers, kept the ABS front only. Ive also run separate brake lines from the ABS unit too. Dot 5 fluid.

the 19 is too wooden in 18 or 20 ratio

the 17 is superb in 20 ratio

Of course bleeding them correctly is a must.

I tried both at portimao!

I plan on running Brembo low viscosity when I get around to flushing the brake/clutch this spring. I think this will help the stock system. Viscosity seems to be about half of the stock Shell DOT4. I don't feel any mushiness when the brakes are warm-hot out on track. I only notice the mushiness when it's cool and worsens in winter months.

Yeah I had good results with the RCS 17 set to essentially the specs as the 17 EVO Radial…i.e. with the 20 ratio, on R setting, with the lever position right where I want it with that adjuster.

I was happy enough with the setup that the only reason I’m switching to the EVO RADIAL GP MC is because the specs on piston diameter and ratio on it are where i had the 17 RCS CC set to anyway…so it’s a better unit with the same overall setup I’m already running and like.
