I have resisisted the whole 17 RCS upgrade because I know of at least 2 people who have said that they don't feel any improvement over stock, so I am inclined to think that, when bled properly, the standard cylinder is OK. Good, but not great.

But the Pirro setup is using the 19 mm bore, which, popular wisdom says, gives a wooden feel. Does the x16, x17, x18 lever ratio help to mitigate this?
I would love a billet cylinder, but on a bike with ABS and standard Stylemas, track only, would a 19 mm be OK if I wanted a firmer lever, better fl and more consistency?

Yeah, many people prefer the firmer pull. I ran the XA7G7G0 and didn't hate it, but prefer the 17 now.

I'm not well convinced it is. I think that's old logic or that carried over from other platforms. The OEM master is 16mm with a longer lever to accommodate fitting to the bar with the OEM switchgear and throttle housing. I think those reasons are the primary thing affecting the lever feel all of which is a design choice by Ducati.

Ducati has to accommodate 100 lb women. I put an RCS on the 1198. Didn't find any improvement. You have to consider the whole thing including where you hand naturally goes to on the lever. Moving the dip in the lever (since thats where the force is being applied) in or out relative to the plane of the bar is in effect like changing the pivot ratio. Want the master firmer move your hand in towards the reservoir. I'm OK with the stock masters but I constantly bleed them.

So Vircos got bought out by or merged with Rev’it suites. The new company is called Rev’it Tailortech.

Anyone have experience with Rev’it?

They look like cheap suites to me.

that's great but they sold + folded so...
It's an interesting biz segment inside Moto, the work that goes into making these seems very high so I am always shocked at how many small outfits there are regionally around the globe. I see loads of other brands at the, rarely do they look decent

New D-Air looking good. Can go off 3 times before needing service, all service can be done at Dainese stores

Push comes to shove I’ll get that, but the last two custom tailored suites I got from them didn’t fit well to the point of being restrictive to my movement on the bike. Felt like I was fighting against the suite.

I also want Kangeroo only this time, and in California Dianese won’t sell me a Kangeroo suit.

Have a Rev’it off the shelf suit. Nothing fancy and it does the job. Fits like a second skin after using it for the last 5 years. No issues with it though I’ve never tested it (yet). No airbag bc I’m at a trackday not a race.

Dainese and A* have bigger marketing budgets. Doesn’t mean their products are any better than competitors.

I think if I were to get another I’d go RS-Taichi. Japanese quality.

Is the Motoguild in San Fran still there? They used to sell used suits. I have 2 suits I still use both made by helimont. Absolutely the best custom tailored suits one could buy at the time. Helmut also made the best gloves (deer backs, roo palms) and made so much money making gloves he quit making suits. You just got to suck it up and spend the cash. My onepiece was $2K in the 90's. And I've been wearing it for about 30 years. Never replaced a zipper, nor has a seam ever split. Literally has 200K miles on it.
