The dealer called me today after I complained to Ducati that they put 10w/40 synthetically modified engine oil in mine instead of 15w/50 FULL synthetic on the 1000 mile service, and overfilled by 20%, to report to me THAT Ducati asked them to call me and say its OK, so I guess we can save some service cash and put in low grade oil from now on, into an engine that runs hotter than the sun and don't worry to give a .... for the level!
I'm a construction machine mechanic and seen so many times the result of cheap and low grade lubricants.
Don't do it, buy the best oil you can, change more than you need to.
