For those of you who do this. Do you change the O rings on the oil filter cover every time? I changed mine last night and did not as they looked good. I thought maybe they would come with the OEM oil filter but they did not. I am guessing the dealer will when I bring it in for them to do it?
Thanks in advance!

No need to change. I just bought the oil change kit from motovasion and the orings that came with it were junk and to skinny. I reused my old ones.

I do every time. And they recommend it.

I change the O rings every time, and the crush washer. This is what the workshop manual dictates.

Changing the o-rings is a very, very modest expense and not difficult or inconvenient in the course of an oil change. Simply put, I don’t know what you’re gaining of significance by skipping it.

YMMV.

You can not compare reusing a oring that is not swole and has no flat spots to reusing a condom...

what idiot would re-use a condom :D

and yeah, o-rings are cheap. i change them.

have you ever measured an o-ring? unless you do a section cut and (or) put it on a non-tactile (optical) machine, you won't see .....
