Gecko, is this project dead now or r u still looking for capable company to take on this project, just curious

cheers

China guy finally let me down :(
Tried another company in Switzerland, no success.
Next week I'm going to contact a company in the US, got the address from one of you guys. If this isn't going to work out, I'll do a last try in asia, also from a contact from you guys.

For the controller, I've found a nice product in the UK that fits perfect.

Sorry for this ...... news, I'm really sad how things are not going on :(

Thank you for your continued efforts! And for keeping us posted!

Anything?

Project is dead :(
I'm very sorry.

Couldn't find a production company that would do the job for a feasible price and wasted way too much energy on this :(

If there would be somebody out there who's willing to mass produce the physical stuff (basically the rear light containing the RGB LEDs) I happily provide the software.

Gecko,

Any interest in selling a "DIY Kit" to be installed into an existing tail light?

great question !
Im also willing to pay to send my oem taillight have it bling blinged :D and send it back to me.

Gecko what exactly do you need for the project ill try to help.
if i understand you need a tail light housing without the electronics ? you can also PM me with specific detail.
im in contact with a company that might help

Urs,

Wanna send me the drawing for the board and schematics?

I have a guy locally here and one in Mexico.

Maybe we can still make this work

Hey everyone,

I i found a source in canada to make these lighting the problem is cost. Just to have mold to make the lighting is 25,000Cnd for the red casing plus another 25,000Cnd for back housing housing. It would it possible for them to write a program similar to Geckos. However, thatz gonna cost another 30,000Cnd

Im not sure if anyone is interested to crowd fund this project but the cost listed was just a estimate and its not included the suppliers profit.

Let me know what you guys think thx!

I'd be in to throw some money down. I'm really sick of waiting for MotoDynamics and this new taillight Gecko made is awesome!

I'd be interested depending on what I hear from TST...

That being said I feel if we front the cost the supplier shouldn't make a profit on us, only the units down the road, seems underhanded for us to foot the bit and pay them a profit...

Why spend so much money when you can just buy a chinese one and put the modified electronics inside...?

I believe, the most important thing is to get somebody program a bunch of boards and then we just stick them in the chinese housing and done deal!... idk, I might be wrong but I think that's how it should be

Well, that was the idea.
The project failed because I couldn't find a guy that designs, manufactures and populates the PCBs with the components.

I had a chinese source for the housings.

(It needs 3 PCBs: two flexible ones for the left and right side of the tail light containing the LEDs and one regular one containing the controller)

Oh ok! You know better than anybody because you created a prototype, so I bet it is something time consuming and hard to do if it's not easy to find somebody to mass produce them for a reasonable price! Bummer!

I have a TST taillight on my little Z125 Kawi, it's a miniature version of the Panigale taillight almost, and does all sorts of cool things like Gecko's does, they may be able to do it.......
