you are the type of guy always has to say something bad when other ppl just got something new and happy you just have to go there and say "Oh It is ugly. it is just opinion..."

I think you are an ........ btw it is my "opinion". dont get offended.

Oh shutup. Do I need to get a doll so you can point out exactly where my opinion hurt you?

No I am not "the type of guy that always" does anything. I haven't paid any attention to who has one or who doesn't, and I don't care. My opinion wasn't directed towards any individual, it was merely about the bike itself. If anything, it was directed towards Ducati.

Your comment however was a personal attack towards me, so i think you are an immature butthurt ...... that can .... off. Of course, just my opinion. Don't get offended.

when ppl just got their bikes and happy you just had to come and say it looks gay and ugly. Now THAT tells me what type of person you are. cant you just say nothing or just say gratz instead calling other ppl's new bike "gay"?
let say you got a new car and this random dude comes and say OH YOUR car looks gay and ugly!!. and tells you oh man dont get mad its just my opinion!!

yea you are THAT type of guy. buddy.

The more I see this bike, the uglier it gets to me. Way too much white and gold wheels? Really? Is it the 90's again.

There is no "flow" to the scheme at all. The lines suck. For a bike that is supposed to be a big deal/celebration, I would have thought they would make something less gay.

Just my opinion, of course. :)

Well .... me....Now i know what my problem is, Im gay :D

Go back and read my post. Did I quote anyone and say "your bIke is gay"? No. I did not. I don't know who has one. I have only scrolled through the pictures.

Once again, my comment wasnt directed towards anyone. My comment was showing disappointment towards Ducati. The same way Suzuki has been shown disappointment for putting out another bike with nothing but new decals, or how they released an Anniversary edition with nothing but a slip-on and some different stickers.

I am not your buddy and you know nothing about me. And there is no way you can tell what "type" of person anyone is based upon their color scheme comments on a forum.

With that being said. I apologize if my opinion of Ducati's choices for this Anniversary edition offended anyone who has one or plans on getting one.

At the end of the day, it is your bike. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about it.

Chris, nothing against you or anything, because as you said, most of us don't know you personally, but being a sponsored racer by some very well known big brands, you might want to watch what you say and how you say it as you are a representative of those brands.

i have nothing against gays, nor am i gay, but when you start throwing around that word in that context, its going to offend someone who is. I would know, I used to do that kind of .... all the time, but living near SF, you'll get .... on like a ton of bricks for a move like that.

anyways, just a heads up so that the ppl at STG, Dainese, Bell, Knox, etc don't drop you for saying something that they don't stand by!

It is Fkn beautiful, I want one. I always wonder if I would mind the number out of 500. I know nr1 would be best but what if you got nr250 or 500 out of 500....do you think the cool numbers are pre booked for Keanu something?

the number to get for this model is #90/500

If they are numbered like the Superleggera, then the first one will actually be 000/500 and the last will be 499/500.

Evidently, the first SL went to a very special Ducati customer in the UK.

I thought 000 went to Ferdinand Piëch!?!

Anyway: This thread got into the direction of "political correctness".
Thanks to Steve, Phil and others who I do not know that you allow to keep this forum open! Thank you.

Chaotic: I know some gays, and even they understand the saying "this looks gay" without being offended :)

HEY!!! Stop spitting in the Kool-Aid! (LOL!) :D I don't know what makes this 90's but I don't care. I like it a lot. Ducati did something right with this one because people are buying these up pretty quick.

Oh man. Has the world really went so far with the PC correctness .... that someone can't even say something "looks gay" on a motorcycle forum without somebody getting offended?

I am pretty sure everyone knows exactly what is meant by "gay" in that context. It has nothing to do with ones sexual orientation.

I understand the point you are making, and I do try to watch what I say to a certain extent, but i honestly cant count the number of times i have seen that word used in that context on forums worldwide. There is a big difference between saying something "looks gay", and attacking an individual for their sexual preference (which I did not do and have never done).

If that is the point this place (or any forum) has gotten to with the PC ...., I will find somewhere else to spend my time.

What is next, we start censoring curse words?

As do i, and yes they do. I have even had one of then tell me something of mine looks "gay as hell". :D

Back on topic, my dealer called this morning saying mine is "on the boat!!!" Should be here in about 10 days they said. So excited! I thought for sure I was going to be waiting until October.

I like it and took delivery today. Sitting here in the garage drooling on myself now while putting the exhaust on. Number 38/500 is home where she belongs now.

I like the fairings, I would buy them in lieu of tri color, maybe would add a stripe of green.

I agree with chaotic on the gold. But it's different.

Here's some word anthology. The word lice is plural for Louse. This word is/was used to describe the wingless bug that takes refuge in the hair of warm bodies creatures. The Word lousy is a derivative of this word which was coined to describe a horrible feeling or mood.

I feel Gay is like the example above. I don't think most people "use" As a negative to describe sexual orientation. Though this is my opinion, I'm from New York City originally. If someone is polite to you then chances are they ....... hate your .... Really to feel loved, at least from my generation, then you got made fun of and had a ...... up nickname that everyone knew you by. That name was usually rooted in ethnicity, gender, profession, or general appearance.

Cause we all did it nobody gave a ..... Likewise, it wouldn't have stopped any of us from putting a bat to another guy's head for each other.

Are there things people shouldn't say, of course, but that's when things are said with belief and/or intent.

I think you could say it looks Gay and take it as a compliment. All my buddies that are "Gay" are some of the best groomed and most squared away people I know. So the Anniversario could be Gay like that.

So no one is getting the gold Akra?

Makes the announcement somewhat misleading considering they mentioned a special edition Akra. It looks like the standard R slip on with cats.
