To be fair 20 something k for a set of forks is a nice "idea" but to 99.5% of the motorcycle world its pearls before swine (or should I say hogs?)
 
I just take Ducati as it comes and try to make the most of it. I have to admit the shine has gone off the brand somewhat and the next bike will be based on performance and feel rather than the brand. In the meantime I'm sticking with the twin.
 
Hey I hear ya. I love my 1299 but man was that thing expensive, time consuming and there are a lot of one off pieces on that thing to get it to where I wanted it and there isn’t a speck of paint or a decal on it.

If I were to build something newer I’d be in it 100-120k to get it where I wanted it. Six years later there isn’t a bike I’d rather have than what I built. If there was, I’d build it.
 
The downward spiral started in 2012 and the old platforms like the 1098 were so reliable. I will never build a V4 or build any custom parts for them. I ever switch from the twin it will be a different brand like Yamaha.

Isn’t this what a warranty is for??? Sure, in a perfect world a new motorcycle or car will have no issues. But these things are built by people so mistakes happen. And you hear about it more on a forum bc that’s where fucksticks go to ...... So there’s a disproportionate number of people on a forum bitching about a problem that a few owners have and then they confabulate that small problem into a major flaw. Except if there was a major flaw on the motorcycle there’d be a recall. Right?

And what parts have outright FAILED on your motorcycle?

It’s not about people being negative about Ducati. It’s about people shitting on others happiness. It’s about your friends Mick, Endo, and Paul (probably some weirdo that made multiple accounts) thinking that their cobbled together overpriced poseur motorcycles that won’t be used in the slightest way they were meant with less oversight and quality assurance that they’re better than a person that finances a commemorative bike. That’s what warrants my wrath.

And .... yeah I financed my motorcycle. Ducati gave me a 0% loan for 5 years so that could take that money that would’ve gone into the bike and put it into the ....... stock market and doubled up. You’d be a ....... moron not to take that deal.

With respect to people who think they want what Ducati is selling, what I observe here is that most Ducati buyers are either old guys with lotsa grey hair with middle age money. Its a niche bike, finicky to maintain, difficult to ride well and the V4's while impressive they are nothing much different to the rest of the crop. The journo's are total sluts and not to be trusted same as you toob reviewers. In some respects "pimp my slutty ....." Campesi is the most honest of them all! He's in it for the money, and if you ever watch his ride reviews he loves his bikes and he is genuine!

What is hilarious is the way people go full tribal as if pointing out Ducati faults is damaging them personally.
 
What hear is that you only get the login if you pinky promise to never ride your bike again and keep it parked in the lounge

One of my friends at a big box store told me that most people who take the 0% finance end up getting ...... when it rolls over to 28% and they still havent paid a cent of the principle. Still its a nice thought but all is says is that Ducati are getting their money at 1% and taking a bet on the rubes

You have no idea what you’re talking about. It’s 0% for 5 whole years through Ducati Financing. It’s called having good credit and buying at the right time.

Oh yeah and purchase that so called "extended warranty" and when the bike sits at the shop for 3 months waiting for parts the loan was well worth it all what a mess.

Ok what's the insurance deal and setup costs?

I paid cash, in the end I'll lose 70%, it a toy and I don't care if I crash it. The money is spent and gone, always get a chuckle about people investing in motorcycles. Worlds worst investment!!!!

Usually on these low finance deals you get locked into their preferred insurer and you get costs for establishing loans etc. There's always a fishhook.
