In my personal opinion, yes it is wrong to say as your painting and ranking entire cultures. Listen, I have a wide domination of employees whom most are PhD educated and hail from the four corners of the world. I spend a fair bit of time in Europe and I deal with Japanese and their culture. People are people defined by their experiences and culture. I have not experienced anything that would say that Japanese have on average higher IQs than Europeans. If this was the case, then I would have a really high proportion of Japanese than any other race.

Japanese is actually an ethenticity or nationality, not a race. Maybe you mean Asians.

Whoops, I appogize guys. I only meant Japs as a short way for Japanese. Didnt even think of it in a derogatory way. And only meant Japanese because of Hondas, Suzukis, Yamahas, kawasakis etc....

In conclusion, bad on me. Sorry guys.

No biggy for me. I knew what you meant. ;)

I have pretty much got used to the term jap-bike, so no biggy - geeze, a lot worse on this forum...

Hi Gunny and everyone! I know there was another female that purchased a 1199 last year. I don't know too many females riding 'exotic' bikes but I do know some females that ride R1s and CBR1000s. Last Summer, I took the level 1 class with California Superbike School and noticed some females riding their own S1000RR. Will be continuing with level 2 and 3 this Spring and Summer so maybe I'll see more females. I had started a thread awhile back to see if there were any female 1199 riders. I don't think I got many responses.. maybe 1? :(

My wife rides the Triupmph 675R. It is a glorious thing to see. She goes to work geared up, and has her blonde hair out the back and high heels strapped to the back of her camelback....hilarious. And has no problem riding my Tri, or my old RSV4. Safe to say she gets a few looks, it's awesome.

That 675R is really somethning else, and ideal for women as narrow as the straight tripple is.

Oh...I am an Asian rider and yes, 'Japs' is a derogatory word but I knew what you meant. Thanks for responding and clarifying.

For clarification, the .... in my avatar is not my wife. My wife is several years older than that. ;)

One of the reasons I enjoy riding is because I found motorcyclists tend to be a bit more independent and NOT worry so much about PC silliness and worrying about what might be “offensive”, please don't ruin it for me.

There She Is !!

This is the infamous Ducgrl whom I met at the DC Bike Show. She just overheard me talking to someone about my bike and asked "Are you Gunny Fitz?" so it couldnt have been timed better! Any female who rides a Panigale is awesome in my book!

On the issue of "slang" and all this other jazz, please consider the entire thing dropped ok? I understood what Cobra was saying and truly applaud him for noting his apology. Water under the bridge so lets drop it and move on everyone. Cool? :D

I will be putting together a group of riders from this area (or anywhere else in Northeast) to do a track day / riding school hosted by my friend Glen Goldman who owns Team Pro Motion. I would love to do VIR since I also have great connections to obtain the awesome suites which are located directly over the garage bays on the straight there. These are fantastic rooms which anyone who has stayed in them can attest. Alternative tracks are Summit Point, NJMP, or the NC one. There is also a new track in NY he mentioned as well. Open to thoughts or ideas on this issue and date.

Glen has a myriad of great Instructors / Control riders and I have spoken with him about super discounted rates for the event. For those who have not been to his events it's a must for a unreal time!

Anyone interested in attending with this group should PM me their email address, experience level and choice of track. I will compile a list and work with Glen and staff about rates. Btw- he also has an awesome tire truck at every event who sells and mounts the best tires! yes, Pirelli's as well.
Love to have as many female riders as possible, those who have never been on a track, and of course you seasoned riders/ racers! :D

Thanks much and I will keep you posted. Obviously it wont be until Sping or Summer, but not too hot you will need a Gatorade IV!

gunny you know i am in but it has to be after i come back from yamaha. i cant take the 1199 out on the track without ever having a track day. im sure scott (russell) and Nick will have me where i want to be. Then i will be more comfortable riding the pani on a track (many times)

Certainly in the bay area there are a lot of female riders. I would also add that the female riders I have encountered ride exotics and run of mill and I even seen a few classic bikes.

My women also rides.

Just to provide some additional input, Alice's Restaurant in Woodside, California is a very pop biker hang out, check out the attached pictures. If you want to meet female riders there are lots of them at Alices.

My neighbor is female and she has a 1098 and a Pani. It confuses my dog when she comes home from work since I usually get home before she does and my dog thinks I am coming home again. :)

So you both have the same 2 bikes? Surely not a complete cowinkydink?

I was riding on my Monster over the weekend through the canyons on Mulholland Drive here in LA with my daughter on the back, we were passed (rapidly) by a woman on a Pani win a full white track suit, she seemed to be a extremely competent rider.

Its awesome to see these be ridden hard and fast by anyone

my daughter wanted us to catch up to her so she could say Hi !
