Just became the very proud and very happy new owner of this gorgeous 2020 V4R, my first Ducati. I've never been one to name my vehicles, but his name is Nearco and I'll be honest: he may see a few track days in his life because why not, but I'm no racer. We've got a relatively short riding season here in Chicago, within which we often get very few good riding days, of which even fewer I can actually get out and ride. So I decided that when I do get out to ride, I want it to be an experience. I get that this isn't exactly how a lot of folks would like to see a V4R used, but I long ago stopped giving a .... about what people do with their money, time, and things so I hope they can do the same.

I'd like to say that I was also considering the S1000RR, RR-R, and RSV4 at the same time but I'd be lying and I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on one of those before Nearco popped up on Cycle Trader.

Looks good. congrats. how many miles and how much did you wind up paying?

Nice move! I will tell you, if you ever get 'him' to the track, you are going to feel a very different thing. It's as if they just kind of hang out, prancing down the street, no big deal until you get to the track. Then the horses come out. It's like they smell the place and know. It also may have to do with an open kilometer with no traffic controls at the end of it that inspires the revs to go past sane mode. When that happens, all that engineering and design find their reason to exist and it's really something else. It will change you. I've had many bikes to tracks, but nothing like this one.
