That's good news.

I was impressed with BeIN Sports streaming through their website last summer of a few of the WSBK events I managed to catch - especially compared to the on-going horror of SpeedVision/Fox Sports attempts of Motorsports coverage.

I noticed a couple months back that my local ATT U-Verse had picked up BeIN Sports. So....I'm set.

i have this channel and dvr it if its too early very good stuff it runs like 6 hours straight. good coverage

i will stick with my eurosportplayer UK subscription over a proxy.

best commentators period. plus a ton of BSB coverage, WRC, and so on...

oh, i don't have TV any more, so no choice :D

I agree that the beIN Sport coverage is fantastic, especially compared to that Speed Channel garbage a couple years ago. When they show the full 6-hour coverage that is the best indeed, as I love watching the FIM STK 1000 races, where the 1199 does much better.

It's so good that it overcomes my initial inclination to boycott it because beIN Sport is owned by the Al-Jazeera Network, which bought the channel from a US group that included Al .... as a major shareholder.

Just circling back on this after PI. I have Comcast and added the tier with BEIN just for the WSBK/WSS series, expecting to see the long broadcasts from last year that were pretty much the same as the online stream. However, all I got this past weekend was two shorter shows with WSBK only; no WSS coverage other than a podium ceremony, and despite it saying BEIN HD on the screen it was NOT HD. Anyone seeing different?

Sorry to hear that, Steve. Pretty disappointing if they didn't provide adequate coverage for the first race of the season. I purchased the WSBK pass as well and am very happy with it thus far. Commentary was decent and the video quality is on par with that of MotoGP's video pass.

Steve - I also enjoyed the beIN Sport broadcasts last year but still bought the SBK video pass so I could watch the races live. My recorded beIN broadcast was in HD though. I wonder what gives with your experience?

Sadly I don't think I can get eurosport over here in the states. But the WSBK site feed was very good.

you can.

go over a proxy like hidemyass or expatshield, sign up with eurosport UK , you will need an european paypal account though. (i had one already, so i don't know if this might be the bottleneck for you guys over here)

i was really happy this weekend that i had my laptop with me.

started watching the SS race 2 while at dinner over the phone, just to realize that they cut off the SB race. got back to the hotel room, started up the laptop - tadaa... as i have the motoGP pass, i think if i hadn't had the eurosport thingy yet, i'd have gotten the WSBK pass...

You can start a PayPal account in any country from the USA. When you start a new account just select the country you want the new account based in. You can use your US-based credit card to get it started and pay for purchases.

I had to do this a couple times for a work project and it was no problem at all to start a new PayPal account in Switzerland and Bermuda.

Thanks all for the feedback. I had used expatshield last year and a eurosport subscription since I liked their cycling coverage as well, but for this year I wanted the convenience of just DVR'ing the races on my cable, since I seldom watch anything live anymore.

Will have to ping Comcast on the broadcast quality; it was annoying seeing HD up there on the screen logo of a 480P image...

Steve - with the SBK Videopass you can watch the races on-demand after it has run live, so in that sense it's like DVR'ing them. Plus, you get to watch Superpole, which not even beIN Sports show every weekend. This past weekend was indeed a disappointment as they only showed SBK Race 1 & 2 in one-hour segments. I was spoiled by their 6-hour full broadcasts last year at most of the races. I hope beIN doesn't keep the Philip Island format for the rest of the season.

BeIn channel was indeed not quite up to what they web streamed last year on their site. But, at least, they didn't interrupt the races start to finish (at least on the first race - I fell asleep before the second started).

As an alternate (and especially for anyone who doesn't have BeIn on their local cable lineup), I've used this streaming site with pretty good success the past year or so.
StreamHunter - Live Streaming Video / Watch Free Live Sport Streams - Live Matches

Multiple feeds of events (all kinds of events). Got full streams of most of the MotoGP events last year. As well as BSB, F2 races, RallyCar, etc.
