I don't think it is a problem, but I don't get it either. I will occasionally jump over to the S1000RR forum to read a couple things, but I don't post there. I guess I would if I were considering buying one and had a specific question that I couldn't find using search, but I wouldn't become an involved, participating member of the community. What's the point? I'm missing the one thing (an S1krr) that defines membership into the community. :)

I would understand if someone came here to be invloved with our unique forum "antics" , but otherwise makes no sense.

Yeah, someone who loves engaging in thread derailment, trolling, topic drift and other general dingleberryishness. :)

I agree with both Capt CF and Trauma.

Having a particular brand of the bike in a that forum makes you a legit membership IMO, otherwise, you are lurking, trolling, just really bored, or insecurity about your bike to tell other people that your bike is better/other bike is bad because XYZ.

Luxury watches are stupid.

Oh wait, did I just say that out loud?

I'll stick with my cheap ass watch I got at Target....it tells time just fine :)

You have to be a watch guy to appreciate "luxury" watches.

Probably most non-rider or even other brand bike owner think you are stupid for having a Ducati. :D

Also, having said that, I've made thousands of $$$ money on watches I used and sold, unlike most bikes that lose value.

you're stupid :p

Mine tells time & also does a bunch of other stuff I don't need. Also, when I push some buttons the second hand goes really fast, So, there...

It mostly stays in the box @ home. I wear a free promo watch from Saab and I find myself looking for my phone whenever someone asks what time is it... go figure..

+100

That being said I have a 2007 Daytona I'd love to get rid of...

Then I could by an R !!!!

I dunno, jewelry and watches I have never found the desire to really spend money on.

Cubic zirconia and gold plating look the same to me as something that uses diamonds and solid gold. I just don't see the value in it personally. It's not like you ride it or commute on the thing. You stick it on your arm and use it as a fashion statement and to tell time.

But to each their own.

Exactly. For sure to each their own. Your $, your life, and live how you want.

I always wear a watch and Time is very important to me.

A watch I wear is as if it is part of me.

No one is saying he can't dis our bike and hang out here, just curious, as am I, why would someone that doesn't care for an 1199, post on an specific 1199 forum? He certainly isn't going to convince we made a mistake in our purchase because of some new review. The bike is what it is, no review can change that :)

Must be a Ducati watch. Do you find that it also burns your arm and fogs under the crystal?

yea yanno it does also, I feel like it's melting around the clasp area.. the second hand stops working when it get that hot I think, but I haven't been able to re-create it for my jewele-- um, I mean, dealer.
