I am one lucky b.....d! Got a call late last week from northside to say a tricolore order had been cancelled so I am now the proud member of club panigale one month ahead of schedule!

First impressions after 50 k's: this thing it totally worth the wait. I loved my 1098s - but this goes and stops better, and it turns incredibly - especially on a change of direction. In corners where I had to firmly encourage the 1098s to turn the panigale just does it without thinking

Next thing - finish my coffee at road warriors - then 2 laps of the old road!

Hi ihuni,

i also got mine from northside. I'm should be picking mine up on next saturday week. Glad to hear that your loving it.

what is the heat like? I also am riding a 1098s which i just love.

In traffic the heat is certainly there, but in my opinion no worse than the 1098s. Possibly even a bit better than the 1198.

My 1098 is cool. The 749 of a few years ago was dreadful.

Does the 1199 have reasonable power at low revs? i am yet to ride one.

Great to hear ihunui! I picked mine up last Friday and have done only 60kms due to incessant rain, bright side it's in my garage!

Safe riding mate

I thought it had less than the 1098 at low revs until i switched to race mode!

Wellington in winter aye, at least you're not a surfer, then you'd have to be out in Lyall Bay in a drysuit to get your kicks!
Rimutakas on a superbike would be gold if you got a clear run ...

The old girl vs the new model ...
