I have a 2007 Yamaha R6 which I purchased new. It was time to upgrade!

I picked up this awesome 1299. I only have about 300 miles on it so far but here are my first impressions:

Awesome power and amazing acceleration. This bike makes it easy to ride quick.

When riding through city streets, or slow in general, the heat under the seat is definitely noticeable. It is a non issue when riding at speed.

Footpegs are slippery, and the mirrors vibrate so much they are difficult to use.

Does anyone have any photos of their passenger pegs off of the bike? I got some from my dealer, but unless Ducati makes them universal, I think they are the wrong ones.

Edit: turns out the passenger pegs were the correct ones after viewing the 1199 set.

I feel really sorry for whomever has to sit on the back of this bike. I haven't even unwrapped my passenger footpegs! Sorry. :p

You'll really enjoy the bike once you get the first service done and can start revving it...

The passenger pegs come in a large box along with manuals and seat unless your dealer removed them, also in the box is a bag of hardware.

This bike is really not that great with passengers unless you ask Phl. His wife doesn't seem to mind. I can't even get mine to decide where to go to eat.
